North Dakota Duck Hunt with Savage Arms’ New ReneGAUGE Shotgun

There is nothing that I enjoy more than being in places I have not been before and spending my time there in the outdoors hunting. I recently had the opportunity to spend the first weekend in October in North Dakota with Savage Arms on a duck hunt. leading up to the event, I started out with a bit of travel anxiety (not wanting to miss flights, not quite sure where I was going to end up once I got off of the plane, etc…) but it soon led to pure excitement of the hunt and eventually reminiscent happiness once it was over.

If I were just getting into long-range, precision rifle shooting with the knowledge that I currently have, I know that I would have a lot less extra gear floating around the house.

Kestrel 5700 Ballistic Weather Meter With Hornady 4DOF: Full Review

The Kestrel 5700 with 4DOF (for short), is compact and robust. These traits are necessary for a unit designed for long range shooters because many applications including hunting, military and competitive uses put the ultimate strain on equipment due to harsh environmental conditions, rough handling and long hours of use. This weather meter is drop tested, waterproof and dust-proof, which I have verified through my months of use while I’ve had it.

I managed to get my hands on Seekins’ new Havak Element in 6.5 PRC soon after it was announced, and immediately put it through the hardest tests that I could think of: I brought it with me on several hunts including Idaho mule deer and whitetail deer.

As 3 gun shooting becomes more and more popular, people are demanding more out of their guns. However, without the proper optic the shooter can only ask so much. The Atibal X is a 1-10 power optic that can do it all for shooters that appreciate a run-and-gun style while demanding performance both up close and personal as well as out to 5-600 yards or more, making this optic perfect for recreational shooters and law enforcement alike.

This rifle was designed with the hunter, farmer, rancher and working man (or woman) in general, as it is designed to take the abuse that everyday life can throw at it.

Zero Compromise Optic is a relatively new company that is shooting (pun intended) for the top spot among their competition, and they have just the product to do it: the ZC527. This rifle scope is packed with features, including locking windage and elevation turrets, rotation indicators, a highly efficient and clutter free, first focal plane reticle, an illumination system with intelligent on/off programming, incredible glass quality and it is all assembled with the highest regard for low tolerance and precision.

I know many of you will look at these and say “why do I need that?” Well, if that is you, this review is not for communists anyway. Shooting the Keltec CP33 braced is more fun than I’ve had with a gun in a long time because it is extremely controllable, tiny, and holds a lot of pews

As of late, there are so many options for red dot sights on the market. Some see this as a bad thing, but I really enjoy the huge selection that is available when shopping for an electronic sight. Crimson Trace adds to these options with their new line of electronic optics and I had the privilege to test out the CTS-1000.
