Their support for policies that have no discernable effect on crime rates is proof enough for that. But sometimes they make their motivations more obvious than usual.

A sheriff’s deputy in Arizona shot an 18-year-old terrorist suspect after the man threw rocks at the deputy and tried to attack him with a knife, local media reported. The suspect survived and was taken into custody where he’s facing two counts of terrorism as well as aggravated assault on a deputy.
