As we step into the new year, I wanted to take a minute to review a couple of smaller ticket items that have really grown on me. Often times we get lost in the newest whiz-bang guns and optics here on GunsAmerica Digest and forget about the smaller stuff that really helps us day to day.

I know a lot of people would consider them antiquated and unnecessary in today’s world of accurate ballistic solvers. However, there’s still a very real need to be able to record hard copy data from actually putting rounds down range, which can’t be readily augmented by technology.

I am really happy with the pistol I received, and I believe you will be as well if you get one. If you’re a diehard 1911 fan, these are a must and they’re definitely worth the wait. It’s not every day that you can buy a real piece of history.
