I bet you didn’t know that you could buy silver at Walmart. Check out the video and I’ll show you my new discovery. This is an official heads up on a killer buy that was not there a short while ago, and that may be gone once they figure out that they are getting blasted by Preppers.

#Prepping101 – Bug Out Weapon Legal 50 States – The Pocket Shot – Field Test Review
Updated: September 25, 2016In the survival world some products are in a class by themselves. I decided that this would be the case with a new discovery I made last week called “The Pocket Shot.” Originally I had intended to cover slingshots and slingshot arrow shooting contraptions, and in my travels I discovered The Pocket Shot, but when it got here I quickly realized that it deserved its own space. The Pocket Shot is really just a thick rubber balloon, held by a plastic ring. But this simple device is not a toy, and a serious weapon. It fires standard slingshot balls, and there is a full arrow kit. As something that you can slip into a bugout bag, where nobody would even suspect that it is a weapon, I don’t think that The Pocket Shot has an equal.
Dying Website Attacks Gunwriter Jorge Amselle & Lies About NRA
Updated: September 20, 2016As the gun blog The Truth About Guns fades into irrelevance, they attack a long time gunwriter over his political beliefs.
Prepping 101: $4 Firestarter Disk From China – Field Test
Updated: September 17, 2016This week I’m just sharing a pretty cool find with you guys that I scored on a website called Banggood. It’s about the dumbest name for a retail website ever, but they do a good deal of advertising on Facebook and I’ve ordered from them before. A couple weeks ago this nifty little fire starting disk came up on my ads, and I just assumed I’d order it and it wouldn’t work.

Prepping 101: Large and Small Animal Traps – Survival Snares
Updated: September 11, 2016I often laugh at survival advertisements that feature a guy in camo and a bandana on his head, with a dirty face of course lol. Live of the land! Sharpen a stick and spear deer with it. Eat roots. And for most of us, dead in two weeks, including the idiot with the bandana on his head.
The Snap Safe Take Apart Gunsafe – Finally an Answer to the Secret Gun Safe (and for those of us who live upstairs!)
Updated: September 4, 2016In a perfect world we all have enough secure storage for all of our guns, and not only do our homes offer us ample space for giant safes, those safes also magically appear with no conspicuous delivery and team of installers. For the real world, there is the bolt together, take apart Snap Safe. It still arrives by truck freight, but the box does not resemble a safe, and you can take the pieces in one by one, inconspicuously, up the stairs, whatever, without advertising your safe to the neighborhood.
Prepping 101: Personal Dosimeters for High Level Radiation
Updated: September 4, 2016I want to vomit sometimes when I see the lame stuff that is being thrown out there into the prepper market. Prepping has become a hot topic, but I think very few people in America understand just how grave our situation has become. I recently covered some of the disinformation when it comes to long term storable survival food, and this week I’m getting back to the topic of radiation. DHS just released a request for Wearable Intelligent Nuclear Detection (WIND) devices, but the concept of “dosimeters” has been around for decades. Just check your dirty bomb fear porn at the door. Radiation is one of the more dangerous topics when it comes to surviving after the collapse. This is a brief overview, and some inexpensive resources.
Prepping 101: Canning Food With Paraffin Wax for Short Term Preservation
Updated: August 21, 2016The title of this article sounds more like a scientific paper than a survival topic, and that is by design. I would prefer that the dufus brigade not read it. Canning food demands attention to detail, and though this method of canning is a fringe, do not try this at home kind of idea, it is still canning. You need to pay attention to the details. I would not suggest canning with just paraffin wax except in a genuine “use or or lose it” food survival situation, but it does work.
Kimber Hunter .308 Deer Rifle (vs. Wild Florida Hogs) – New Gun Review
Updated: August 3, 2024With deer season just around the corner, I thought that now would be a good time to review the Kimber Hunter, which is their entry level deer rifle of a very high end line. If you are a regular here at GunsAmerica, you’ve probably seen the ad for the rifle running on our homepage, and they sent me a review rifle a few months ago. Now that summer is pretty much behind us, it’s time to start thinking new deer rifle, and if you have the budget, the $885 MSRP Kimber Hunter is an option you should seek out. Most people think 1911 when they think of Kimber, but the company started with rifles, and it is still a core component of Kimber Firearms today. The Hunter is the same action as the $1,400 Kimber rifles. If are have been looking for an upgrade this deer season, please watch the video.
