New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez announced over the weekend his intention to introduce a bill that would ban the importation, sale, manufacture, transfer or possession of “gun silencers” or, as he also refers to them, “tools of death.”

Virginians aren’t giving up their Second Amendment rights without a fight. Local media coverage of six roundtable discussions hosted by Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam’s deputies indicates that the governor’s anti-gun policies aren’t sitting as well with his constituents as he no doubt hoped.

Eric “Nuke ‘Em!” Swalwell released his gun control proposal this week to the raucous applause of 12 supporters at a rally outside the National Rifle Association headquarters in Alexandria, Va. A gun control group pushing to ban “assault weapons” in Florida has garnered more than 100,000 signatures for its cause and triggered a review by the Florida Supreme Court. If the group gets 766,200 by February, the ban will become one of the potential constitutional amendments on the 2020 ballot.

The United States Army is reportedly developing a new carbine capable of withstanding higher chamber pressures and allowing for rifle-like bullet velocities out of firearms both lighter and shorter than the M4.

Adjustable gas plugs allow users to control how much gas from a fired cartridge is redirected back into the piston and operating rod, which in turn cycles the action and loads another cartridge. If all the gas is allowed the escape, the action won’t cycle; if too much gas is redirected, the action will cycle too quickly or too forcefully. Adjusting the gas flow to fit a specific cartridge ensures that the action cycles reliable with minimal wear and tear on the blot, op-rod, etc.

Former Vice President Joe Biden jumped into the anti-gun mosh pit this week at a campaign stop in New Hampshire, throwing his weight behind an “assault weapons” ban and “smart” gun technology, and suggesting that the Second Amendment does not “entitle” everyone to own a gun.
