Colt is officially putting their 3-inch Python revolver back into production for 2022.

As so often happens when stalking pronghorn antelope, failure comes before success. I was hunting on the vast Crow Reservation in southeast Montana – an area that defines big, open country with little stalking cover – and had already blown one attempt when a previously unseen band of pronghorn materialized and spooked the herd I was stalking.

Officially released on 12/20/2021, the Operator is the newest addition to Springfield Armory’s 1911 lineup. Machined down from a forged frame, slide, and barrel this pistol also features an ambi-safety, “Tactical Rack” rear/tritium front sights, and an accessory rail for lights/lasers. Designed as an affordable, tactical-grade pistol, this offering chambered in 45 ACP meets the mark.

Even at a quick glance, it’s immediately obvious to lever gun fans that there’s something different about the new Henry Magnum Express rifle, which is chambered in .22 WMR. Christensen Arms has entered a newer, rapidly expanding section of the firearms market with their new bolt action chassis pistol, the Modern Precision Pistol. This new offering is basically their MPR chassis rifle shrunken down to a barrel length of 7.5-12.5″ depending on caliber. Don’t be fooled though, these short barrels still pack a punch while providing impressive accuracy.

an impressive round that too often gets written off as being only good for magdumps and plinking. I use it on hogs and whitetail with excellent results and it’s ballistically comparable to 30-30. I love this round chambered in the familiar AR platform because it gives you a bit more power in a lighter package.

The MC2sc is a reliable, accurate, concealed-carry weapon. All things considered, the little pistol offered up a stellar performance, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
