The Performance Center TCR22 Rifle

The Performance Center TCR22 Rifle

When a lot of you see the Performance Center TCR22, one of the first thoughts that may come to mind is “Oh great, another 10/22 clone!”. I was certainly not immune from thinking this when I saw this rifle for the first time at SHOT Show, but I’ve learned you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.

Tikka T1X - Rimfire Revolution

Tikka T1X – Rimfire Revolution

This week, I got my hands on a rifle for review that was a long time in the making. The Tikka T1X, first announced at SHOT Show 2018, has finally hit the shelves. Now despite my own giddiness about rimfires, I know that they aren’t the most popular reviews we publish. But hear me out on this one, I think you are really going to dig it. Why, pray tell, have I been anxiously awaiting a bolt action in 17 HMR?

Head-to-Head: NEW Ruger Competition 10/22 vs. Custom 10/22 Build

Head-to-Head: NEW Ruger Competition 10/22 vs. Custom 10/22 Build

Ruger, at long last, has taken notice of the aftermarket 10/22 world, and late last year the company’s new Custom Shop put together the 10/22 Competition Rifle. It’s a sweet shooter, and it comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from a premium .22 firearm.

But how does it stack up against a custom build? That’s the question I wanted to answer, so I reached out to one of my gun buddies who owns one. Before we get down to the nitty-gritty, you should know a few things about Ruger’s new Competition 10/22.

Winchester Wildcat 22 - SHOT Show 2019

Winchester Wildcat 22 – SHOT Show 2019

I’m currently in love with an old Winchester Model 69A .22 and maybe that’s given me a soft spot for Winchester plinksters. Nevertheless, of all the guns I saw at SHOT show, the is probably the one that I’m most looking forward to getting my hands on. It’s lightweight, it’s got useful new features and [...]

Marlin Model 70PSS “Papoose”: Small Package, Big Fun, Survival Ready

Marlin Model 70PSS “Papoose”: Small Package, Big Fun, Survival Ready

The word “papoose” comes from the Algonquian word “papoos” and means “child.” Marlin’s diminutive semi-auto rifle has undergone a variety of iterations over the last thirty-odd years, but the original concept behind the famous nickname has remained the same. Today’s Model 70PSS is designed to fit anywhere, be shot by anyone, and tag along on whatever adventure comes next.

Ruger Suppressed 10/22 - Quiet as Death Himself

Ruger Suppressed 10/22 – Quiet as Death Himself

Today was the first time I got to test the new Ruger 10/22 with the Silent-SR ISB, or Integrally Suppressed Barrel. The lines look like a double barrel gun, but the bottom half is actually a baffle stack. A one-piece barrel and suppressor, it fits any 10/22 takedown model as a replacement. It is one of the most well thought out rimfire suppressors I have seen, Ruger hit it out of the park this time.

Build Your Dream 10/22 with Brownells’ New BRN-22 Receiver (Full Review + How To)

If the AR-15 is America’s most popular rifle, the Ruger 10/22 might be its most beloved. Thousands, probably millions, of youngsters have cut their teeth on the little rimfire, and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down. Whether you’re building a precision rifle or a budget squirrel hunter, Brownell’s new BRN-22 is a great place to start your 10/22 build.

9mm Rimfire Shotgun - Chiappa Little Badger Review

9mm Rimfire Shotgun – Chiappa Little Badger Review

This week, I’ve played with a gun that is way outside the norm. From Chiappa, we are looking at what may be the smallest of the Italian shotguns. Ever. When this gun first came up for review, I had no idea what 9mm Flobert was, so don’t feel bad if you have never heard of it either. It is a very common European cartridge but is almost unheard of here in the U.S.A.
