Out of the box, I can tell a professional shooter had a hand in building this pistol.

. Over the years, Nighthawk has done an excellent job of keeping up with market trends and introducing new models that push the envelope. Nighthawk does not offer a specific double-stack model! Instead, Nighthawk offers an option to upgrade most of their 9mm models with a double stack frame.

Picking up this pistol for the first time is a strange experience. Maybe it’s the LC Charger’s Galaxy Far Far Away vibe that resonates with my love of Star Wars. Or maybe it’s just because this is the closest thing we can get to the unobtainable H&K MP7.

The PDP 4.5”, like all of the PD series, is a 9mm striker-fire, recoil-operated pistol with a polymer frame. The PDP checks a lot of boxes for a 9mm striker fire.

The Scar 15P is chambered in 5.56×45 and is the same Scar that we have all come to know and love, but shortened to pistol length. It features a 7.5-inch barrel and comes without a pistol brace.

. This pistol is designed to check all the boxes for the ideal carry gun. Straight from the factory, the 509 CC Edge features a low-profile optics mounting system, fiber optic front sight, an auto-indexing compensator that cuts muzzle rise by 25%, and a flat-faced trigger.

These are custom guns with the shortest lead times I have seen in the industry. Based on the 1911 design, the Platypus is designed to use Glock 17 mags.

. The folks at Shadow Systems have been making components for Glock pattern pistols for years – most notably their quality slides and barrels.

We finally wrapped up our Primary Arms pistol lower build, out of all the orphan parts. We had a lot of fun completely disregarding color schemes as we perused the sale pages and bought whatever was in stock. Which ended us with a 2A lower, radian safety, mag pul grip, and an AR Gold Trigger. Oh, and a CMMG RipBrace since this was a pistol configuration, one of my favorite parts to hit the market this year. So finally, we can get to the point. And the point was to make a 7.62×39 pistol from AR parts.
