Published: June 30, 2016 { 32 comments }One of the standout features of the Beretta PX4 Storm is the rotary action short recoil system. Like most other 9mm and up centerfire pistols, it uses a short recoil system that temporarily locks the slide and barrel together for a hot second during recoil, allowing the pressure to drop to manageable levels. After a fraction of an inch of rearward travel together, the slide and barrel separate, allowing extraction of the cartridge, recocking, and chambering of a new one. The PX4 just goes about that locking and unlocking process in a very different way with the rotary system.

Two New 9mm Springfield Range Officers
Published: April 29, 2016 { 12 comments }If you are a fan of the 1911 and have not checked out Springfield’s Range Officer line you owe it to yourself to do so. I have come to the conclusion that the standard Range Officer is just about the best bang for your buck in the target shooting 1911 world there is. The ROs have one of the best off the shelf slide to frame fits I have seen on a non-custom pistol.
