Scroll through any forum for ammunition reloaders, and you’ll often see the same advice for newbies: start small. Don’t buy an expensive die set until you know how to use a basic set from Lee or Hornady. This is good advice, generally speaking, but if you buy basic now and then decide to upgrade later, your final bill will be even higher. That’s why I was drawn to the Competition die set from RCBS.

A $300 Aluminum Suppressor that Can Handle 338 Lapua: The Rebel Silencers SOS-450
Updated: April 14, 2019Rebel Silencers is a company that has been around for a decent while, but lately, I heard of them for my first time. When I saw what they had to offer at the price that they were offering it at, I had to get my hands on one of their suppressors and put it to the test. The suppressor that I chose is the SOS-450; a can that they designed specifically with the 450 Bushmaster and 458 Socom in mind. Luckily for me, I just so happen to have a 450 Bushmaster that I wanted to hush.
Protection + Performance: Walker’s New Silencer Bluetooth Earbuds Full Review
Updated: April 13, 2019Walker’s new Silencer Bluetooth electronic earbuds come with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 26dB and feature hearing enhancement, Bluetooth compatibility, rechargeable batteries, and customizable sizing fins. I’ve taken them hog hunting, deer hunting, pistol shooting, and rifle shooting, and while I wouldn’t call them perfect, they’re a great option for those who want to effectively protect their hearing without affecting performance.

Delta S 9mm- Heir Apparent to the MP-5SD throne
Updated: April 6, 2019Arguably the least development we have seen on new firearms is in the submachine gun arena. Once the coolest kid on the block, sub guns were a staple of counter-terrorism forces, the world over. Despite many attempts to usurp it, the MP-5 was far and away the weapon of choice.
Bergara Does AR Barrels Too
Updated: April 6, 2019The first time I ever heard the Bergara name was at a friend’s house, examining his new custom bolt gun that he said had a very accurate but rare barrel from a company in Spain. I wasn’t reacquainted with the Bergara brand until a long time after that when I was given the opportunity to review Bergara’s Premier LRP and HMR rifles.
Battle of the Asian Optics! Three Budget-Friendly Long-Range Scopes Tested (Including Tracking)
Updated: April 6, 2019If you’re willing to buy a scope without the Made in the USA sticker, what are your options? What kind of features, quality, and price points can you expect from scopes made in China, South Korea, or the Philippines? To get a sense of the market, I chose three scopes to test…
Aero Precision’s Slim One: The ATLAS S-ONE Handguard
Updated: March 31, 2019Originally, I set out to build an upper solely to test the Bergara 20” AR-15 barrel so I was not looking to spend a ton of money on a new handguard. After a failed start using a free float tube that I got on sale I was on the hunt for something that was affordable, free floating, and modular.

Updated: March 23, 2019Leupold doesn’t only manufacture and sell riflescopes. I recently used the Leupold Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit on a coyote hunt, and now I’m a believer.
