Arguably the least development we have seen on new firearms is in the submachine gun arena. Once the coolest kid on the block, sub guns were a staple of counter-terrorism forces, the world over. Despite many attempts to usurp it, the MP-5 was far and away the weapon of choice.

AAC Halcyon and 556 – New Products From An Industry Leader
Published: March 23, 2019 { 2 comments }At a time when “silencers” were mostly the playthings of nerds and collectors, AAC brought attitude. From the skulls in the logo to the idea you should not only use your can, but use the hell out of it, they were a breath of fresh air. Two and a half decades in, they still feel young at heart. So it is with great pleasure this week I get to write about new options.

Published: March 9, 2019 { 7 comments }What is more fun than shooting big, loud guns? Shooting big, quiet guns and that is a tested and proven fact. I had the opportunity to use the Silencerco Hybrid 46 suppressor and jumped on it because of my large collection of various caliber guns.

AAC Ti-Raid Suppressor Review
Published: August 25, 2018 { 2 comments }Available in a direct thread or QC set up, we opted to test the direct thread. The can features a completely toolless takedown, though it has wrench flats on the cap. Not that any of us would ever neglect maintenance so long as to need those. The user serviceable part of this cannot be overstated.
Ruger Suppressed 10/22 – Quiet as Death Himself
Published: August 2, 2018 { 57 comments }Today was the first time I got to test the new Ruger 10/22 with the Silent-SR ISB, or Integrally Suppressed Barrel. The lines look like a double barrel gun, but the bottom half is actually a baffle stack. A one-piece barrel and suppressor, it fits any 10/22 takedown model as a replacement. It is one of the most well thought out rimfire suppressors I have seen, Ruger hit it out of the park this time.
Armageddon Gear Suppressor Covers – Review
Published: July 29, 2018 { 2 comments }The new for 2017 Armageddon Gear Suppressor Cover models can withstand sustained semi-auto fire. They are specifically rated to 800 degrees. I’m running titanium suppressors and don’t want to ever get my suppressors or barrels that hot. If you are doing full auto mag dumps then you’ll likely exceed that temperature and this probably isn’t the suppressor cover for you.
SIG/M4 Rattler – Convert Your Existing SBR To A Rattler
Published: July 28, 2018 { 18 comments }The ability to convert existing M4A1 carbines to a PDW, chambered in 300 BLK, offers several appealing advantages. First, it is far more economical than purchasing complete carbines. Far more conversion kits can be purchased than complete carbines. Second, the purchase of a retrofit kit presents fewer issues than building a new carbine. Finally, should the receiver be damaged, the conversion kit can be fitted to another lower.
