EDC lights are extremely handy tools and sit beside pocket knives in their usefulness. Most people will probably get more use from their EDC light than they ever will from their guns.

A good way to start a fight amongst your friends is to bring up the subject of lights and lasers for concealed carry guns. Opinions run strong on this one, and they are all over the map. Some will tell you lasers build bad habits, and you should never have one. Some will tell you lights get in the way on a CCW piece, and you shouldn’t use one anyway. And some will just tell you that if John Moses Browning intended you to have a laser and light, he would have built one back in 1910.

Each year more weapon-mounted lights enter the market, giving consumers more options to meet varying purposes.

You can’t shoot what you can’t see, and identification can literally make the difference between life and death. Streamlight has built a solid reputation as providing innovative and reliable products at reasonable prices.

Evildoers prefer the cover of darkness for crime. With a flashlight, you control the light and have the advantage. More light provides better information. Bad things come when you stay in the dark.

A lumen has a technical definition, but generally speaking, it’s about as bright as a single candle. More importantly for this discussion, a lumen measures the total energy output of a light without regard for beam angle.

Unlike other rechargeable lights with built-in batteries, I am still able to swap batteries if I want. With a width of just under 1.25 inches. of course I wanted to give this a try.
