A relative newcomer to the body armor market, Predator Armor is based in Delta, Utah, where it makes and sells body armor plates, plate carriers, and other accessories. When I was asked if I might review some of the Predator product line, I thought to myself, “Body Armor? Me?” 

Most people don’t think of lever actions when they consider modern self-defense rifles mostly because they were the military, law enforcement, and civilian choice of the late 1800s. The libtards aren’t as threatened by them and you can still own them in places like New York.  By design, they weren’t originally made to mount optics, lights, lasers, or suppressors. Turns out that with a few modifications they work fantastic for all of that though.

SIG Sauer has been aggressively designing, engineering, and winning military contracts since Ron Cohen took over as CEO. When the military told SIG that the suppressors being used by warfighters were venting toxic, carcinogenic fumes back into shooter’s faces through ejection ports and around charging handles, SIG decided to design a low back pressure suppressor line to reduce the amount of toxic gas going back towards the shooter’s nose and mouth. 

 For the past five weeks, I have been shooting and evaluating the most expensive and innovative PCC on the market, the new JP5 from JP Enterprises. 

I don’t spend all that much time talking about AR-15 upgrades, because I find that many bolt ons are basically chopper chrome. That is to say, they might look cool but actually don’t enhance performance. But today we are going to look at one that I have found to be worth your consideration. A thing that I use myself, and that I find to be worth the time and effort to install.

When looking for body armor your main concern is finding something that stops the range of bullets you are worried about, however, there are other factors that shouldn’t be dismissed.

What is the one bit of fitness you absolutely cannot ignore if you want to shoot a pistol well? And for that matter, what do the champions of action pistol shooting all have in common? Grip strength.

Full disclosure, this week’s review is on a product that comes from a teammate of mine. We go back so far we were building sandcastles on the beach long before we were running guns on the Tigris, and sometimes fast walking guns on the Tigris cause our cardio sucked.
