I’m a huge believer in self-defense, stand your ground, and the Second Amendment. I would struggle with being Drejka’s defense attorney in this case because I think he took a life that he wasn’t justified in taking.

“I went down to the ground and that’s when he put his knee on my back and hit me on my sides,” he continued. “I thought it was over. I was expecting to get shot anywhere in the back, or my head, really, the way he had me.”

No details have emerged about the murderer who killed two and injured 12 last night in Toronto, but that hasn’t stopped the city’s highest officials from leveraging the attack to support their anti-gun agenda.

It’s the classic Hollywood scenario: the Villain holds the Woman at gunpoint, and the Hero takes him down with a well-aimed shot in the kisser. That cliché became all too real for a couple in Houston yesterday when two armed men tried to rob and assault the wife at gunpoint.
