The process to own a handgun in Canada is unbelievably onerous by American standards, but that isn’t stopping Canadian officials from calling for a total, nationwide handgun ban.

Police claim Harper’s latest move violated state laws against carrying a rifle into any establishment where alcohol is served. The Oklahoman reports that prosecutors have already decided to pursue a felony charge against Harper.

Lake County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously this week to approve a resolution vowing not to enforce gun control measures that “increase the power of the Federal government far beyond that which the Constitution intended.”

“I was disappointed and disgusted that we could not move forward because they were upset about the election results,” Del. Marcia Price (D-95) told WTKR.

“It means that I am going to walk into your house and take something whether you like it or not,” he added. “I don’t think that stands up to constitutional scrutiny.”

The University of Virginia has eliminated the 21-gun salute from its Veteran’s Day ceremony after some expressed concern that the traditional sign of honor would disrupt classes and scare students.

“I said, ‘You just lay still. I got another shell in here. You just lay still, be quiet, there’s help coming,” he said.

“It happens so death by a thousand cuts,” observed Muller. “I said that while I was testifying. You don’t fool me. I see what’s coming.”

Democrats in Virginia have a clear path to passing a slate of anti-gun legislation, thanks in large part to Everytown for Gun Safety’s $2.5 million investment in 22 competitive races.
