A brand most of our US readers probably haven’t heard of is set to make a splash in the near future, if our initial look at the new Virtrix Rifle line up is any indication. Virtrix is an Italian rifle company, known for precision armaments.

No one likes handloading magazines.  It’s tedious.  It’s time-consuming.  And it does a number on your thumbs.  With the MagPump magazine loader all that goes away.

The BRS-47SC features a non-reciprocating side charging handle that is built into the left side of the receiver. Cycling the BRS-47SC, I found it lacking the potential snag hazards and pinch points typical of side charging handles.

This year at SHOT Show 2018, GEMTECH released the LUNAR 45, a super lightweight can made of military-grade aluminum and titanium. Archon Firearms, recently renamed from Arsenal Firearms, debuted the newest iteration of the B pistol dubbed the Type B. The company is rebranding to avoid a possible trademark dispute. The Type B pistol was formerly known as the Stryk B.

Released in December of 2017, the .224 Valkeryie is slowly gaining traction with long-range precision shooters. The cartridge is based on an .30 Remington/6.8 SPC case. The cartridge will work in your typical bolt-action rifle but it will also work in an AR.

Building on the success of the Lithgow LA101 and LA102 rifles, Legacy Sports International is now offering the Lithgow LA105 Woomera rifle. The Lithgow LA105 mates a match grade barreled upper receiver from Lithgow Arms of Australia to a Kinetic Research Group chassis. The Lithgow LA105 features a 20 MOA Picatinny rail and muzzle brake. The rifle has a 24-inch heavy profile barrel and is offered in .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor.

Yes, you read that correctly. IWI, a long time leader in bullpup design, now has a shotgun in the lineup and we spent time with it on the range. I am always on the lookout for handy gear to help me maintain my guns, so I decided to swing by the Otis Technology booth at SHOW Show 2017. Otis Technology is a family-owned and -operated company that has invested in research and development for serious-use customers.

The X Rail crew are some old friends, and I was happy to catch up with them at SHOT Show. The original X Rail changed the way people thought about shotguns for competitive ventures, and the became the go-to, must-have shotgun add-on for open class shooters. This year the 2017 Shotshow they introduced their latest version of the Can Cannon in the XAC-CAN308. It is designed to attach to 7.62 AR rifles and uses .308 blanks. The fact of the matter is the .223 just had some limitations in terms of its ability to launch heavier items and to achieve greater distances. With the additional pressure provided by the .308 blanks they have a complete new line of accessories that adds a level of fun and functionality to the concept.
