M1811 Module design borrows characteristics from the legendary 1911 grip and seamlessly blends them to the grip of the P320. To my hand it is definitely an improvement to the curvy factory grip.

While it is nearly impossible to find a tool or load out that works best for all situations, I continually find myself creating lists of things I want and that go well together for different tasks. Mission dictates everything, and companies design dedicated gear to fit specific situations.

I decided to try my hand at adding a cheek riser to the factory stock of my Remington 783 Varmint.

We finally wrapped up our Primary Arms pistol lower build, out of all the orphan parts. We had a lot of fun completely disregarding color schemes as we perused the sale pages and bought whatever was in stock. Which ended us with a 2A lower, radian safety, mag pul grip, and an AR Gold Trigger. Oh, and a CMMG RipBrace since this was a pistol configuration, one of my favorite parts to hit the market this year. So finally, we can get to the point. And the point was to make a 7.62×39 pistol from AR parts.

We have been seeing a trend from firearms manufacturers lately that I like a lot. Several companies that had a really awesome, always patented, unique feature to their guns have started selling… Just that unique piece. This is simply amazing for us consumers, at least those not scared to take a hammer and Dremel tool to our weapons.

The APEX is the right gun at the right time. Each APEX kit includes a 16″ barrel and chassis with 26-inch extendable stock making the APEX a legal rifle in all 50 states.

Recently, I had a rather interesting project come my way from GunsAmerica’s own True Pearce. Mr. Pearce had an original Winchester 1895 rifle, chambered in 30-40 Krag that needed a new stock fitted to it. Fitting a wood stock would seem to be something of an “old school” gunsmithing task in today’s world of synthetic stocks, drop-in parts, and buffer tube-mounted collapsible stocks. But it is surprisingly relevant to the hobby gunsmith of today.

The FCU’s have been flowing for some time now, I know. But I wanted my first build to be something magical, and that has taken time to source parts for. Finally, everything came together this week. I, for one, think it was worth the wait.

The Vudoo was out of my price range and I was impresses by the 457 so I set out to see how far I could go to make the 457 challenge the Vudoo.
