When multiple armed and masked intruders broke into his home last week, a California man shot and killed one of them causing the others to flee the scene.
When he first heard the perps trying to break into his Fontana-area residence, the homeowner, who has not yet been identified, called the police and grabbed his gun.
During the call with 911, the homeowner exchanged gunfire with the intruders, resulting in the death of one of the suspects.
Police interviewed by KTLA News say that there has been an increase in property theft, locally.
Recent spikes in crime have people reconsidering their self-defense posture.
In fact, a recent Harvard study conducted to “estimate the number and describe characteristics of firearm purchasers” before and during the pandemic found that 7.5 million adults (3% of all adults in the U.S.) have become new gun owners from January 2019 to April 2021.

While it’s unclear if this homeowner who shot and killed the intruder was a new or longtime gun owner, the trend is clear: Americans of all walks of life are increasingly exercising their 2A rights.
The homeowner was briefly detained by police but has not been arrested since it appears to be a lawful use of force.
A neighbor and friend of the homeowner interviewed by KTLA was adamant that armed intruders “gotta suffer those consequences.”
Police acknowledged to NBC Los Angeles that sometimes members of the public have to step up and defend themselves.
“The last resort is to try to defend yourself as best you can,” said Daniel Romero of the Fontana PD. “It’s not something we recommend, but when it’s your life you have to protect, or your family’s life, sometimes you have to do what you have to do.”
“It’s not something we recommend…”
What utter nonsense. Then what does the deputy recommend? Oh that’s right…wait for the police…to write a report of your injury or death. I told the deputy I was on the phone with that I was grabbing my shotgun to protect me and my mom from 4 ghetto ex-cons intent on home invading our home. They were deterred when one of them saw my shotgun ready to be fired the moment one or more of them entered my home. The deputy on the phone never dissuaded me, and the other deputy that finally arrived—14 minutes later!—told me mom I did everything correctly.
FAKE NEWS – California is a Paradise, just ask the Elites that run the place with large gated estates and their armed guards. Ask all the Homeless Drug Addicts living on the streets and sidewalks, they have freedom to do whatever they want. Ask the Voters, who know, whatever happens, the Democratic One-Party State will continue to rule, so there is no need for partisan bickering, so people are free to relax and focus on important things like what the ladies on the view have to say, etc.
PARADISE ON EARTH
I disagree with one thing in this article. When in YOUR OWN HOME , being attacked by armed intruders , lethal force is NOT a last resort. It becomes the FIRST response , PERIOD….
I feel sorry for the homeowner who still relies on their golf club for home defense. The criminals travel in packs now, like hyenas.
