In one of the most exciting stories of the year, at least for us long range nerds, Bushnell has launched the new XRS II. Bushnell has been one of my favorite optics brands, mostly because of bang for the buck. They have a tremendous reputation for durability, at a price that won’t break the bank. I get to play with a lot of neat toys for my job, but I can tell you how many scopes I own priced past the XRS. None.
The XRS II is the flagship scope for the Elite Tactical line, with a monstrous 4.5-30 magnification. Given the steady improvement of Bushnell clarity over the years, this one is going to be hard to beat. Reticle options include the G3, illuminated G3, Tremor 3, and my personal favorite, the H59.
This model features a RevLimiter zero stop and a removable built-in throw lever. Also nice, the elevation and windage knobs are a full 10 mils per revolution, making dialing precise and fast. The XRS II also has 34 mils of internal elevation travel, plenty to reach out and touch em.
Standby in the coming weeks for a full tracking test, as well as some features on some big boy guns. MSRP is $3149, though the street price has already proven to be closer to $2200

30x magnification for $2-3000? I don’t shoot prairie dogs at 800 yds, so I guess I’ll pass! LOL!
