Bushnell Upgrades Its Tactical Scopes — SHOT Show 2022

Bushnell definitely bumped it up several notches with respect to its new Elite Tactical scopes at SHOT Show 2022. The XRS3 has a magnification range of 6 – 36x as compared to the previous XRSII with 4.5 – 30x. In addition, the objective lens is now a 56mm as opposed to the previous 50mm — big changes!

Throw hammer power adjustment lever can now be mounted in one of three positions.

The XRS3 still retains many of the great features of the XRSII, such as the RevLimiter zero stop, ED glass, and locking diopter. But improvements to some of the lens coatings increased light transmission by nearly 2%.

Finally turrets even us older guys can read.

Just to hit a few more of the high points, parallax for the XRS3 can be adjusted down to 50 yards and it has 29 mils of adjustment on elevation and 15 mils in the windage turret, and features the G4P reticle or a new EQL reticle. The elevation turret is not locking but the windage turret does lock to prevent inadvertent rotation. The XRS3 has advertised pricing of $1,699, offering a lot of scope for the money.

Smaller and lighter than XRS3 but still very capable of extreme ranges

The Bushnell Elite Tactical DMR3 also got a few changes for the new year. It’s still the same 3.5-21x power range with a 50mm objective lens but the upgraded glass provides more light transmission and edge clarity.

The Parallax adjustment also got better dropping from 50 yards previously down to 25 yards; perfect for the growing rimfire precision sports. The first focal plane DMR3 is now available with the G4P or the new EQL reticle.

Locking windage turret pulls out to rotate.

Like the XRS3, the DMR3 comes with the hammer throw power change lever, but it can only be mounted in two positions on the DMR3. Both scopes are built from aluminum billet and are Argon purged.

These scopes are available now at stocking dealers with the G4P reticle and with the EQL reticle starting in June. The DMR3 retail price is $1,499
