Overview
Burris is bringing back their Signature Series brand this SHOT Show 2017. The lineup includes new binoculars and an exciting new spotting scope. Clearly, real shooters provided input.
By far the most exciting product from Burris is the new spotting scope. The most interesting features include modular eyepieces and the integrated mount for a red dot. Burris will offer different eyepieces that are marked for MIL, MOA and with Burris’ SCR competition reticle.
The red dots mount near the eyepiece and basically act as a co-witness to the scope. No more having to back out of high power to low when you are trying to look at something you can see with your eye.

The scope uses interchangeable eyepieces with different reticles to provide shooters with down-range information.
Impressions
The clarity of glass will have to wait for real-world testing — using a scope indoors doesn’t do it much justice. But the other recent Burris products that I have used have been very clear, so I have high expectations.
Moving between known targets is going to be a hell of a lot easier with this system, which is great for both tactical and competition markets. It’s brilliant engineering.
The eyepieces for this new system are interchangeable, with models with and without a reticle. If you have ever tried to call corrections at long range, you know that a spotting scope without a reticle in it is basically useless. The downside is that a reticle with enough width and height to call corrections often hinders observation.
With this set-up that problem is solved. Pack multiple eye pieces for multiple roles. Nicely done Burris.
