Forever rooted in rifle lore, Browning’s series of X-bolt rifles have been the demise of countless animals over the years, and the newest member of the team, the Hell’s Canyon Long Range Fiber-Fusion, will no doubt follow suit.
Available in a limited product run, the Hell’s Canyon Long Range Fiber-Fusion is fitted with a high-strength steel receiver and a stylish long range heavy sporter skip-fluted barrel. Like all X-Bolt models, the barrel is free-floated. Bedding in the front and rear of the action improves stability and ensures exact stock spacing, which leads to shot-to-shot consistency. The muzzle break at the end of the 26-inch barrel is removable, and doing so will expose the 5/8-24 TPI suppressor threads.
Sleek and sexy, the Hard Core Fiber-Fusion stock in A-TACS AU Camo finish is a two-stage fiberglass stock, and being the two-stage coating protects the rifle’s finish, camo fading and scratching is virtually eliminated. The trigger is, of course, Browning’s famed three-lever Feather Trigger. Shooters can bank on a crisp, clean pull. A blot unlock button works in harmony with the top-tang safety to provide the shooter an added sense of security.
The Cerakote Burnt Bronze finish reduces shine and adds to the rifle’s eye-pleasing appeal. Of course, the ergonomic extended bolt handle promises a quick, smooth and short throw. The Hell’s Canyon Long Range Fiber-Fusion has a fighting weight between 7.3 and 7.8 pounds depending on caliber, and caliber offerings are many. MSRP ranges from $2159.99 to $2,1899, and the rifle will be available to the masses in June of 2020.
