Lonoke, Arkansas – July 6, 2021 – Remington, America’s iconic ammunition manufacturer, recently released a video (see video) giving shooters and hunters an update on the company’s Arkansas manufacturing plant. Following the company’s recent “Where’s the Ammo” video, Remington Ammunition President Jason Vanderbrink is back to give another update on Big Green’s increasing output.
In the video, Vanderbrink reaffirms the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and increasing production while showing where Remington ammo has recently been found on-shelf across the country.

“Our team knows we’ve got work to do.” said Vanderbrink. “We’re continuing to hire local manufacturing jobs, continuing to produce ammo 24/7, and continuing to revitalize Big Green as more ammo goes out the door daily.”

Remington, the company that promised me a $200 rebate if I bought enough of their ammo. Then never sent the rebate. When I called them they said I had received the rebate already.
This was before they went bankrupt. I was scammed by them.
I will never NEVER spend another dime on a Remington product.
I too was taken by Remington with their rebate scheme. I haven’t bought anything Remington since but I may have to give the new company a chance. My 257 Roberts really prefers their Core-Lockt ammo.
Ahhhhhh… I am a Licensed Gun Dealer and I have NOT been able to get ANY Remington Ammo from ANY of my 6 Wholesalers……. WHY NOT ????
The extractor has never in 50 years been a problem except for those who think they have to exceed factory pressures and speed or don’t pay attention to hand loading processes.
“In the video, Vanderbrink reaffirms the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and increasing production ….”
I sure hope that Remington’s commitment to quality in the last ~20 years is not reflected into today’s quality, safety and increasing production. I realize that this is a new company and that the last one had some wild shennanigans [or maybe it was the one before that? Were Cerberus and the Freedom Group the same company?] playing fast and loose with other peoples’ money. They [Cerberus] bought Chrysler just in time for W’s Great Recession of 2008 and offloaded it to Fiat but not before they cashed the government check meant to bail out the auto industry. The Albertson’s grocery chain really suffered under their ownership too, but not quite as bad as Remington. If you guys are concerned about Orwellian names, the Freedom Group sounds like it is straight out of 1984 or Ayn Rand. Let’s hope Remington, really all the great American names dragged through the mud by the crooked crony capitalists of the Freedom Group like Marlin, NEF, H&R and even Para-Ordinance, fare better in the future. It’s almost like an inverted Rand-ian tragedy – competent, capable, wonderful names of the great American art of gunsmithing were ruined and plundered, but instead of some incompetent bureaucrat, it was the greedy crony-capitalists who were the bad guys. I know why the caged Howard Roark sings indeed!
Hope springs eternal – optimistically, I hope for a bright future for Big Green!
as the saying goes: we have the right to vote… And if their quality turns out to be garbage, I’ll vote with my feet and go elsewhere….
