Regarding the Bersa BP9 CC, has anyone replaced the “fat” trigger on this gun? I like the size and accuracy of this pistol, but the trigger really sucks. It looks like a piece of stamped metal for a cheap toy.

I’m not that impressed, but I LOVE my SCCY, CPX-2 – single, stack 9mm…that he didn’t mention.

I have owned a Bersa Thunder Plus 380 for almost 3 years now and I love it. I have 4 Digs., 2 Taurus, a little .32 Baretta Tomcat and to many more to count. I am 50 years old and started shooting guns since I was 5 or 6 years old. I am lucky enough to be able to go out my back door and have my own shooting range here in Texas. And to be honest did not ever think about buying a Bersa unroll I shot a buddy’s Thunder Plus 380 with a 15 round mag. And 1 in the pipe I bought 1 two days later for a little over $300.00 plus tax. And it is my go to for my carry pistol, and had never had a problem with it and u have shot aprox. 3 thousand rounds with no major problems less 3 or 4 missfires due to getting a little lube in the primer because I hand load most all of my ammo. So go out and get yourself a Bersa and you will get more BANG for your buck.Just one more thing I am not a striker fire handgug. But on most any product you can find a lemon no mater what you pay. The main thing ALWAYS CLEAN TOYR FIREARM IF YOU FIRE 1 ROUND OR A 1000 ROUNDS

To my way of thinking a concealable pistol should be a lot smaller than the bersa. A pistol like the .380 kel tec p3at is a perfect size – it can be concealed in any pocket and withdrawn in the palm without being seen, to be put into action as needed

The Bersa is basically a copy cat of the totally unsafe Glock mechanism i.e. it is not safe to carry with a round in the chamber, or handle or strip down either. A gun like the Beretta 92 not only has a manual safety and a long hard double action pull but it requires the person to lock back the slide to strip it down. There have been untold numbers of accidental shootings when people attempt to strip down a Glock or a Gock look-a-like gun. As one Gun Writer stated, “Someday a gun savvy lawyer will win in court against Glock in an accidental shooting case which will cause massive recalls of Glock and Glock like firearms that have pre-loaded mechanisms with no manual safety and an unsafe take down procedure”. It is just a matter of time.

If you get into a pinch where you have to pull your weapon, the safety can get in the way. Remember you must practicing coming out of the holster. I practice a lot and the Glock is much faster out of the holster and the round down out of the mussel quicker ,when 10th of a second counts!

It’s not like you have to stop and disengage the safety. The 1911 for example, you swipe down on the safety during the draw. It takes no extra time to do that. I’ve cut my teeth on 1911’s and I swipe my thumb down even on Glocks. It’s second nature so I’ll never not do it. But again, it’s just as fast. Slide mounted safeties like on a Beretta 92 are a different story. But since it’s a DA/SA pistol I just leave the safety off.

I can’t understand why anyone could be involved with an accidental shooting. I know that a GUN is a dangerous machine, just like an automobile. They are only as safe as the person operating it. If you don’t understand that fact, you should not have a gun or drive an automobile.
Guns with no safety should be left at home for home defense. Concealed carry or open carry should have a safety because of the enviroment that they are to be used. Always be aware of your target.

I have the Bersa 9mm and it does not have a hair trigger, it is a little hard to pull. But it is a sweet gun.

Nice review as always, but since this Bersa is a striker fired pistol and has no apparent safeties like the Glocks; the concept of a hair trigger as Mr. Hickok explains, makes it questionable as to wanting to carry it with a cartridge in the tube. Also the “fat” trigger for guys with large hands as Hickok and myself have, could present a problem. I’ll stick with my Glocks in 380, 9mm, and 45; and my slim single stack Taurus 9mm striker fired pistols. Thanks for the review.

    BERSA BP9 CC

No video picture on weapon review, only sound

It’s funny how this guy really likes this BP9cc, but he resists just coming out and raving about it like he does with his Glocks. Too bad, Glock missed the buss on a single stack 9mm Mr. Hickok. This bersa is a good one that did what Glock did not do, and it does not matter if Glock may have one in the works.
