The Benchmade 940-2.  One of Benchmade’s most popular knives got a makeover.

In addition to showcasing their new products at Blade 2016, Benchmade also highlighted improvements made on some of their most popular knives.

I got a chance to look at the new and improved Benchmade 940-2, which keeps the Osborne design of the original 940, but now comes equipped with G-10 handles featuring green anodized barrel spacers.

The 940-2 also comes with the AXIS lock and reversible pocket clip making it suitable for both righties and southpaws.

For me, though, if there is one Benchmade to covet it’s the Amicus 490.  I reported on it back at SHOT Show 2016.  It blew me away.  And revisiting it at Blade 2016 only re-energized my enthusiasm for this state-of-the-art EDC folder that combines Benchmade’s proprietary spring-assisted deployment system (AXIS Assist) with a flipper.  It opens, and it opens fast!

You can get a sense of how the knife fits in one's hand. It's ergonomically sound.

I own 4 benchmade knives which I didn’t bought all gifts to me. To this day I don’t see why they are so exspensive to me the knife is not worth the bang for the buck .

Until you need service on one, then you’ll understand why they’re superior to all the Chinese built shit! American high quality company with service for the lifetime of the knife and you don’t have to learn a different language to get something handled.

You probably don’t use a knife often but if you did then you would understand why they cost more than others. Not only is Benchmade American made but they use excellent parts to assemble their many different knives.
I have found that Benchmade not only produces a great product but they back their products for a lifetime.
      Have a nice Father’s Day.
      God Bless the USA!
