One of the great things about being at SHOT Show is that you never know what you’re going to find that, once you know it exists, you just can’t do without. We saw a demonstration of the AR-15 charger from Caldwell Shooting Supplies, one of the Battenfeld brands, and it was impressive. Starting with a box of .223 rounds, the spokesperson, Kyle, dumped it into the charger, attached a magazine, and in a matter of seconds had transferred 30 rounds to the magazine. All without having to touch a round. That’s fast! See for yourself what a great accessory this is in the accompanying video or go to https://www.BTIbrands.com/

I love the idea and I am sure going to put it throug the test to see if it holds up to my field test.
I love the idea and I am sure going to put it throughnthe test to see if it holds up to my field test.
If you come up with a hopper for the bullets I might be interested but still not for 90. bucks.
Silly price, after mold prototype plastic costs about
A buck to make. 40 bucks I’m ok with it, 90 is nutz.
General idea is good, but as a reloader myself I dont particularly care for the MTM boxes. If I am using a plastic ammo storage box for 5.56 I use the 100 round boxes as they hold more rounds in less space. I actually have reverted back to the good ole days of the stripper clips, combined with a lula I can load fast enough.
One thing I didnt notice anyone comment on is the size of this thing. I am reloading mags in the field while shooting, this would be one bulky sucker to carry around with you.
I do appreciate the new ideas and concepts though, keep up the brainstorming and new ideas!
If you get past the MTM re-loader box, does this mean you need to alternate between 30 round mag and 20 round mag? or two 20 round mags and one 10 round mag? most AR owner’s shot from one type of mag. ( If you have a 50 round or 100 round drum this is great! ) I’m just going by the video and byline on this product. For $90.00 are you getting a metal loader with a lifetime warranty? If it’s the plastic one on the video and if you want this product to be successful?. Your price point needs to be $29.95 plus free shipping. That being said I live in California were we have a 10 round mag limit, so this product makes sense to me when at the range, I could quickly load 5 mags and spend more time shooting. (For you zombie hunters, a two man team of shooter / loader this would also work for you). With over 25 years of retail sales and marketing experience I hope this helps. If so, send me one and I’ll make sure to show it to everyone.
I’m glad somebody finally mentioned the benefit while at the range. That being said though, wouldn’t it have made more sense to make it hold 60 and include a 60 round ammo box with it? Like Mars86 said, it would cut down on reloading time at the range. But at $89.99, how many spare mags could you buy and take to the range preloaded? It is cool though!
P.S.
Cuemaster, apparently your computer is the “complete waste of time”, since everyone else didn’t seem to have a problem.
Interesting but Lula has a better way of dealing with bulk loose ammo.
WAY TO EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT DOES at $89.95!
At half the price I MIGHT consider this as a luxury accessory but definitely not essential. How many individuals need to load mags in just a few seconds? Of course, when the revolution comes I might wish I had one:)
I would think you could use a 20 round box just the same if it is in the plastic “holder” like say federals 20 round boxes but like most the ammo I buy that comes in 20 count is lose in the box or I buy 100rd which is also lose. hmmmm cool concept not particularly useful though.
Now if you can dump bulk rounds out of a 30 cal. ammo box or just by the fist full then that would be something to have.
I like checking/inspecting my ammo, especially the primers. I have not gotten 223/556 in an MMC type container before, especially in a 50 round count. Weird logistics to this entire system, good luck but I think this will be a short lived device that may have some funky “collectors” value. NOT PRACTICAL at all.
Yes, I too thought from the headline that it meant you could just dump the rounds in loose, like with Ruger Mark I/II/III or 10/22 loaders I have. But if I have to load all the rounds into a plastic MTM-type box first, that pretty much negates the value of the loader. It would be of some value to a reloader, who might already have his rounds in a plastic box. But for anyone who shoots factory ammo, I can’t see spending $90, or even half that, to have to manually load up a plastic ammo box to then use the speed loader.
5.56/.223 generally comes in 20 round boxes. HELLOOOO!
The only person that can use this is reloaders who use those boxes and half or more of them reload for accuracy so I don’t think they need to reload 50 rounds in a hurry. When you ad the price to the equation I figure they should sell about 27 of them, mostly to their employess who get a discount. lol
I take that back. They will probably sell thousands of Tacticool Arm Chair Operators who miss the logic that says handling your ammo four times will not save time.
Retail Box to PlasticBox to FancyLoader to Magazine. And only $89.99 plus shipping.
You dont have fingers? That sux!
Great video. Great concept. I want one for my 9mm M&P compact. One coulod load seventeen rounds with three and two/fifths strokes. Price point ain’t too bad for what it does.
$89.99!!??
Hopefully street will put this at $49 or less, then I’d be interested.
Just as the others that made comments. You still need to load their blue plastic boxes or buy the ammo from them in the blue boxes if you can find the ammo. If you have to load the blue box this kinds of defeats the purposes. If they come up with away you just dump the shells in the loader then that would be worth it.
Exactly what I was thinking.
You still need the ammo in a ‘standard’ reloading box, but never seen them sold in stores that way.
So if your a re-loader, I guess it would work out, but then if your a re-loader, your trying to save money.
Looks like a LuLA would be just as good if you aren’t a re-loader. And like a LuLa, I suppose you need a different one for a different caliber?
Maybe they’ll come up with something to load the boxes….
So, First you have to have their ammo storage boxes, second you have to have the loading device, third you have to put your ammo in their ammo boxes, then put in the charger, then use it, hummmm ill load my own thank you, esp for 80 bucks plus the extra cost of their ammo boxes! Plastic multi stripper clip device!
Fairly standard reloading box. Mtm will work fine too.
Video worked good. The loader worked smooth as butter. I want one.
interesting concept, but 90 DOLLARS to load a magazine quickly???!!!! Here is a bit of advice guys: charge 40, and sell 10 TIMES as many!
no vid link, awful site, jerky video and complete waste of time. later.
