If you’re somewhat new to any genre of firearm or firearm accessory, it’s often tough to see why one firearm or firearm accessory costs so much more than another. What are the differences?

I’m not going to give the common-sense answers. We all know your range bag should contain your eyes and ears, ammo, spare magazines, etc. I’m not going to bore you with the basics.

Recently the Hi-Power has seen quite the revival. Maybe the industry’s hard time coming up with something new spurned it.

Winchester produced single—and double-barrel shotguns, lever-action shotguns, and a few semi-auto shotguns, but their main claim to fame was pump-action shotguns. 

Guns are expensive, ammo is expensive, optics are expensive, and you get the point. It’s expensive, and inflation isn’t helping, and election years certainly don’t help.

The AR might be the ultimate modern patrol rifle, but it’s not the first patrol rifle. Look at a few historical examples of patrol rifles before AR dominance. 

Pistol caliber carbines, or PCCs, are a ton of fun. Like most guns, they can greatly benefit from an optic.

Modularity is what keeps a weapon around. Its ability to innovate, adapt, and evolve keeps a firearm around. We know the AR-15 is the world’s most modular rifle, but what are the most modular handguns? 

There are seemingly dozens, if not hundreds, of AR manufacturers out there these days. This is rather new to the market, and there was a time when the AR market was basically Colt and Bushmaster.
