President Joe Biden said Tuesday that Congress must act “immediately” to pass gun control in the wake of the Boulder mass killing.

“This is the moment to act on gun safety, and that starts with background checks on all guns sales,” said Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, in a press release obtained by GunsAmerica.

“Our Second Amendment is very clear: The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed,” Gianforte said at the bill’s signing ceremony. “Every law-abiding Montanan should be able to defend themselves and their loved ones.”

Citing the threat of “white supremacy,” three U.S. senators are urging president Joe Biden to use executive action to close what they call the “ghost gun loophole.”

Earlier this month, Feinstein announced that she would bring back legislation to ban so-called “assault weapons” in the not too distant future.

“The Second Amendment is a right and freedom on which our nation was founded. The President’s proposed restrictions violate our U.S. Constitution,” said Rep. Shoaf.
