Hey, fair warning, if you are a big-time revolver nut, you might want to skip this week’s review. I have personally fired less than 1000 rounds out of a wheel gun in my life, and quite possibly less than 500. So why am I covering a revolver? Because I bought one to correct that, which is the point of this exercise.

Clay Buys His First Revolver – Smith & Wesson 325 Night Guard
Published: July 24, 2022 { 36 comments }SCCY Test with Glock 43 XS Sights
Published: July 10, 2022 { 2 comments }XS is a leader in the Night Sights world, with far-ranging options for everything from suppressor height tritium’s to shotguns. XS has two new options for this year which we wanted to test anyway. The DVG-1 presented the perfect storm to do a two for one.
Ultra Ruger Charger Build with Enoch Industries, MDT, and SB Tactical
Published: July 3, 2022 { 2 comments }Ripping off the absolutely ludicrous Leupold 18x scope we used for accuracy testing, the new Charger started to shine with a red dot. Suppressed and wearing 1x, this Charger was incredibly fun to play with at the range. My kids love it, and after shooting it all afternoon, it was worth every penny. I have built a fair number of 10/22 projects over the years, but this one is by far my favorite. And it doesn’t hurt that it looks like an oversized version of Han Solo’s blaster.
The Tactical Watch?
Published: July 3, 2022 { 7 comments }Among the small items you need to play a ninja in the woods is a decent watch, which is often overlooked. In a world of cell phones, the simple wristwatch has for many people become obsolete. However, I remain strongly in favor of having one, such as my personal IsoBrite Explorer.
Caracal 814 Pistol – Review
Published: June 26, 2022 { 3 comments }This week, we got our hands on the Caracal 814 pistol, one of the best values in the AR pistol space today. From Boise, ID, Caracal has been chalking up wins for the last few years. And the 814 is no different. Most known to the US customer for the Enhanced F series pistols, Caracal has been quietly creeping up in rifles. And now, “pistols” as well.

Area 419 Hellfire Linear Flash Suppressor
Published: May 19, 2022 { 1 comment }This is no question the best muzzle device I have seen yet for a short barrel gun. Worth every penny. If you have an AR pistol or SBR that needs taming, there is a new Sheriff in town. And its name is Hellfire LFS.
Maxim Defense 7.62×39
Published: May 15, 2022 { 4 comments }Maxim Defense entered the fray just a few years back as a disruptor to the “same old, same old” firearms industry. They were initially known for their debut PDW brace and stock, a marvel of engineering. Through what we can only assume was a vision on Mescaline, Maxim managed to shorten the normal buffer system of an AR to 1/3rd the length while retaining full spring strength and buffer weight. Not just regular buffers either. They make them all the way up to H3, which is near double standard. Which would prove to be important later, like this week.
Beretta 1301 Redux
Published: May 8, 2022 { 9 comments }A while back, we took our initial look at the Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun. The Tactical was an evolution from the 1301 competition, a gun which I needed no introduction to. The 1301 represents the pinnacle of semi-auto shotgun technology, and that is coming from a Benelli guy. The 1301 absolutely stole the show when it was introduced in 2012.
