Sometimes we get a rifle in that doesn’t look overly sexy in the packaging, but then proceeds to blow your socks off. The Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor is one such weapon. When it comes to accuracy, this thing is a monster.

Remington 870 DM – Follow Up
Published: April 7, 2018 { 10 comments }I have retained our original 870 DM, and I am back today with a follow-up report. The original review is here, and I am happy to say I can stand behind this one. The 870 DM remains the best change to shotguns since the original model 870 was introduced back in 1951.
Clay Learns to Reload: Ep. 2 Press Installation & Bullets that (Hopefully) Don’t Explode
Published: April 5, 2018 { 18 comments }The Hornady Iron Press is an extremely smooth operator. Priming was so easy I was certain it wasn’t working, only to find primed brass on the other side.
If You Could Only Own One – P320 X-Carry
Published: April 3, 2018 { 59 comments }The X-Carry shares a trigger (or chassis) with the X5, which means, in this case, the best out of the box striker fired trigger on the market. The grip module is the same as the X5, sans the flared mag well. This grip module is unique to the X family, and offers a higher grip than the regular P320, along with an extended beavertail. Having shot both of these guns for a minute now, I finally figured out how to equate that.

Bushnell XRS II – New Model
Published: March 25, 2018 { 1 comment }In one of the most exciting stories of the year, at least for us long range nerds, Bushnell has launched the new XRS II. Bushnell has been one of my favorite optics brands, mostly because of bang for the buck. They have a tremendous reputation for durability, at a price that won’t break the [...]
Glock 19X – A Commander Sized Glock
Published: March 25, 2018 { 38 comments }The 19X is basically a G19 slide melded to a G17 sized frame. This has been poo-pooed at length by the usual internet commando’s, but I like the concept. In fact, we had a grip extension created by Len Baxley when I was in the Army that did exactly the same thing.
Seekins Precision: NX3G Rifle
Published: March 22, 2018 { 11 comments }In a world where AR-15 clones are built by seemingly everyone but Toyota ( yet), it can be hard to get excited about a new model. But there is something to be said for the companies that specialize in AR’s as the core business. In a hyper-competitive market, they have to come correct to keep [...]
