There are certain advantages to having a senile president, not the least of which is his tendency to unintentionally let the cat out of the bag.

President Joe Biden bumbled through a CNN “town hall” event last night, and along with his usual word salads, he appeared to voice support for a nationwide handgun ban.

“I’m the only guy that ever got passed legislation, when I was a senator, to make sure we eliminated assault weapons. The idea you need a weapon that can have the ability to fire 20, 30, 40, 50, 120 shots from that weapon, whether — whether it’s a .9 millimeter pistol or whether it’s a rifle, is ridiculous,” he said, adding: “I’m continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”

It’s unclear whether by “those things” the president means rifles and pistols or magazines that hold “20, 30, 40…” rounds. Biden’s gun control plan does not express support for a handgun ban, but he does call for a ban on “high-capacity” magazines. Given that state-level “high-capacity” magazine bans outlaw anything that can hold more than 10 rounds, it seems likely that Biden would want the same ban nationally if given the chance.

Banning handguns outright would be a far riskier political move. Support for gun control in general has waned in the past year, and opposition to a handgun ban has grown steadily since the 1950’s. Last year, a full 74 percent of Americans opposed such a ban, while only 25 percent supported it, according to Gallup. That’s the second-highest opposition ever recorded since Gallup started asking the question in 1959.

Suggesting a handgun ban wasn’t the president’s only questionable gun-related comment. At the beginning of his comments on firearms, he made a distinction between “crime” and “gun violence” to argue that guns are to blame for the spike in murders over the last year.

“As you know, because you’re so involved, actually crime is down, gun violence and murder rates are up. Guns,” he said.

He also appeared to claim sole responsibility for the 1994 “assault weapons” ban.

“I’m the only guy that ever got passed legislation, when I was a senator, to make sure we eliminated assault weapons,” he said.

In reality, Biden was joined by 47 other senators in voting for the legislation, and three former presidents, including Ronald Reagan, voiced support for the ban to get it through Congress.

Biden also reiterated his commitment to going after gun dealers across America and made a vague reference go “ghost guns.”

“I’ve gotten ATF out, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. I have them increase their budget and increase their capacity, along with the Justice Department, to go after the gun shops that are not abiding by the law of doing background checks,” he said. “We’re going to do major investigations and shut those guys down and put some of them in jail for what they’re doing, selling these weapons.”

Biden also admitted (apparently unintentionally) that criminals almost always acquire their guns illegally.

“The people who, in fact, are using those weapons are acquiring them illegally. Illegally,” he said.

If Biden knows criminals acquire guns illegally, it’s unclear why he has spent so much of his career supporting gun control measures that only affect law-abiding citizens.

Not surprisingly, neither the attendees nor the moderator, Don Lemon, thought to ask about this clear contradiction. Even if they did, it’s unlikely Biden would be able to form a coherent response.

And the deep state and our MSM wants you to believe this senile old f*ck got the most votes of any President in our history.

It’s a clown world for sure.

Love to get up in morning and see what and how Biden has screwed up last night or today. That’s if the people holding the keys let him out of BASEMENT. The man has a gift of GAB and I don’t think he knows where he is half the time.

  • DELCO July 25, 2021, 3:23 pm

If Biden is this bad now it’s gonna be interesting half way through his shit show. Can you imagine if reporters actually did their job and pressed Biden on making real answers. The guy is crashing and burning even with press allowing him to ride with his training wheels still on. What this guy is doing with our borders alone should have the country in a roar. They are calling on mandatory vaccination for all of us but don’t say a word about the illegals who are INVADING OUR COUNTRY. Biden and his party have divided our country with race, and political driven decisions that eventually are going to draw cultural lines that won’t ever be fixed.

Guys, you need to read the comments on Twitter, via the link that Gunsamerica gave us at the end of this article. They are truly priceless and bring back hope that it is more people than just us on this website thinking the same about Biden and his constant babbling about everything and nothing. 🙂 My grandfather is 12 years older than Biden and I can guarantee you that he is much smarter than this man, especially when it comes to well-thought and clearly spoken sentences.

Yet, all kidding aside, having a man like him having all the power truly concerns me and I sometimes already make references between him and Rome’s 3rd Emperor Gaius Caligula. Especially when in one of the videos he says about the rights: “The most important one is the right to vote. That’s the single most important one. And your vote counted and counted by someone who honestly counts it.” Yeah right, and these words come right from the mouth of a man who rigged the last votes so heavily, because otherwise he would have lost! I am sorry, Mr. President, but you are a complete liar and you know that.

It was Nancy and not Ronny who backed the assault weapons ban, remember he had Alzheimer”s and the White House kept it quite while he was in office and then the information was released after his death. So this babbling perv will have his backup taking over before his second year in office. Well it may make for some interesting news to see him start sniffing children and women again but I don’t think his handlers will let it go that far.

  • moon July 23, 2021, 12:30 pm

Biden, your shooting blanks. you will never get our guns. were not stupid like Venezuela or cuba or any other country who gave up there guns without a fight. I wonder how many guruses wants to come and collect our guns without being shot. uummm. I would not want that job.

    • Blue Dog (he/him) July 23, 2021, 4:36 pm

I read a lot of comments just like this but most of these valiant keyboard warriors would give up their firearms with little resistance. As soon as the g-men show up on the porch, most of these battle-softened gravy seals will give up every firearm they ever owned.

This is not meant as a personal attack against this commenter moon. Maybe moon will be different and really will give react to these collections or buybacks with violence. But statistics are not in favor of such an outcome.

If you waited until they were coming door to door to fight against private gun confiscation then it is too late. One would need to be involved in other tactics to prevent firearm confiscations.

I am hoping the State governments would be fighting with the people against this. The only time firearm confiscations have been successful is when the State authorities have done it on their own or cooperated with the Federal authorities like in California.

      • Timm July 25, 2021, 10:16 am

Blue Dog- I agree. Though I don’t want to see guns banned, having worked for Federal Intel organizations over 24 years, I can assure you the Fed has more games than Mattel to make your existence sub optimal. If you don’t agree, talk to our Northern neighbors (Canada) as my friends there who trained American agents after 9-11 have been crushed by an unrelenting antigun push. The best way to fight anti-gun movements is the legal way, which is why the NRA exists.

      • Kane July 26, 2021, 9:12 am

On this one BD has a point, the LE person at the door is NOT the enemy and nothing will be accomplished by making a last stand. The fight will be won or lost in the courts and ballot boxes. You can go under ground with you ‘contraband’ but the 2A will have been lost. The enem that is acknowleged in our Oath of Alligence will NOT be knocking on our doors, they will be pulling the strings behing the scenes.

    • RICHARD RIVAS July 23, 2021, 5:16 pm

He doesn’t even sound like he’s shooting blanks. He sounds like a dud primer, like when you pull the trigger and you get nothing. His mouth is moving and sounds are coming out but he make no sense whatsoever.
I used to think it was comical listening to his blunders but now I’m actually in fear. In fear because this clown is president of the US. He has no clue on how to handle his own mouth and thoughts when speaking, so how does he think he can handle any issues facing our country? Simple….he cannot!
It is true that most “gun” crimes are executed because of illegal arms possession. So, targeting law abiding gun owners will do absolutely nothing to reduce “gun crimes”. There are much bigger issues currently at hand, such as our economy and borders, the issues that the Dumbocrat’s themselves created. And, are now creating a gun issue. If Trump was still in office, I know we would not be in this terrible shape that we are currently in. Biden, go home, if you can remember where you live.

  • Keith C G Kyle July 23, 2021, 11:27 am

  • Steve Jarvis July 23, 2021, 10:01 am

So above someone mentioned them trying to take away our …um toys. Did you know that in 2013, read below

In January 2013, as the nation still mourned the Sandy Hook massacre, 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐬

    https://hudsonvalleyone.com/2016/07/07/massive-noncompliance-with-safe-act/

Here’s the gist. Just so you know it’s a Felony for noncompliance.

“The NY SAFE Act defines assault weapons as any rifle, pistol or shotgun that uses a detachable magazine and has one of a laundry list of “military features,” including flash suppressors, folding stocks, bayonet lugs and heat shields. The law banned new sales of assault weapons in the state and required current owners to register the firearms with state police”

After an almost 6 yr battle and FOI request, the data was released.

“That data shows massive noncompliance with the assault weapon registration requirement. Based on an estimate from the National Shooting Sports Federation, 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝟏 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰’𝐬 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭-𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚,

𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟒𝟒,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝. 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝟒 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭. 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐰 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞-𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞,

(Posters Note. He says Civil Disobedience. I say the people said “Molon Labe”, Or in French Eff YU.)

given the high level of interest and concern about the law on the part of gun owners.

“It’s not that they aren’t aware of the law,” said Capanna. “The lack of registration is a massive act of civil disobedience by gun owners statewide.”.

I love it. You really think given that resistance people will willingly give them up.
    2 things I’ve noticed.
    Massive gun and ammo buying,
And huge amounts of PVC pipe being bought with caps of all sizes and lengths. Hmm, I understand it’s waterproof to whatever depth.

Maybe if the diverse populations of the US need to find a common cause we can start by focusing on dangerous arms of the power elite like the CIA, NSA…

Well, anyone who could sit through such an occurrence and NOT be terrified, is probably a batwing crazy as the guy doing the shooting! What struck me was the courage that woman had to stand up against all those rich politicians and tell her story without any fear of recrimination whatsoever. She is to be commended for such bravery, I imagine that, had she still had that weapon in her handbag and her story was as true as it sounded, lives would have been saved that day.

Come on Uncle Joe, you must have forgotten the Second Amendment. Just try and take our guns, you’ll be sorry !!! The Second Civil War will wipe you Liberals all out of existence

    • Irish-7 July 24, 2021, 1:09 am

I concur. Although multiple current events and scenarios plant the seed of civil war, I think that attempted confiscation of weapons from law abiding citizens will be “the straw that broke the camel’s back”. Many Americans are ignorant (as in uninformed). They believe everything they see on televised news programs, or what they read in the papers, all of which are controlled by entities that support our disarmament. When it is time to give up their guns, they’ll finally catch on. Defunded police departments, exploding crime rates from unfettered illegal immigration and pandering to ANTIFA/BLM will all contribute to Civil War II in America.

Has anyone ever thought to look at portfolios of all the legislators in favor of banning firearms and the hot rhetoric against 2A. It is know that Soros’ and others are heavily invested in firearms, ammuntion and related industries. This is the same as Obama , Joe hollers loud about bans and he already has surpassed Obama as greatest gun salesman in the US. Like they say follow the money.. They have lied to us about everything else why should this be any different. Our “representatives” have ceased to represent us the citizens and are only representing what will enrich them the most. We can only hope that the oldest ones in the group expire naturally and at a quick paced they are all passed their spoilage date and a few new ones were rotten in the package when elected.

  • Tito July 23, 2021, 8:55 am

  • Fred July 23, 2021, 8:54 am

Biden is a senile, clueless, liar. Banning guns or high cap mags just ensures only gangs and criminals will have them which he already knows. Anyone who thinks banning these weapons or mags will help or stop gun violence at all, has shit for brains. Just look at Cali, Chicago, New York. Strictest gun laws and worst crime/murder rates. Duh!

  • Linebacker July 23, 2021, 8:42 am

    • Rusty July 23, 2021, 8:27 am

Perhaps Biden will get rid of BumpStocks??

THEN, he will get rid of the SAFE act, THEN, the tyrant will cancel National Repricrocity which passed in 2017 thru both the Senate and House with their Gun Friendly majorities.

Oh, wait, we were promised these two goodies in 2016, AND they didn’t happen. We only got an executive order ban on a gun accessory by an NRA endorsed, supposedly 2A friendly president; which sets the precedent for more chipping away of our rights.

      • Armed and Dangerous July 23, 2021, 9:35 am

You are correct Rusty. Trump was no friend of gun rights. Friendlier than Obama and Biden, but still no real friend.

        • Kane July 23, 2021, 12:25 pm

It’s worth noting that Trump reversed the Obama scheme to empower SSA bureacrats from reporting those receiving benefits who are assissted by a “rep payee.” Tens of thousands of retirees or disabled who need a little help getting to the bank would have lost their 2A rights. There is already a safety velve in the system to prevent those who are NOT allowed under current laws from legally obtaining guns. The bump stock became a hot button with Trump backed into a corner. If you think there will ever be a stronger 2A and US first Prez anytime soon then you are more optimistic than me.

      • kane July 23, 2021, 10:11 am

I have fire semi-auto, full auto and three round burst but never bump stock auto. Where does that rate of fire land between all the legal cases that have argued and established semi-auto as a “common” feature?

It seems to me that to push for the “bump stock” is to lend credibility to the NFA and all other GCA’s that have followed. A silly piece of plastic to circumvent an already overly complex array of federal laws that have a questionable case law.

I would challege anyone here to show me where the NRA edorsed a “executive order ban on a gun accessory.” As I recall, the NRA advised Trump to avoid the EO and leave the process up to the DOJ and its BATFE branch. Trump could NOT get Dem cooperation for legislation on the bump stocks since they wanted a cause and NOT a solution.

I wish everyone posting would try to follow up on their statements.

        • Rusty July 23, 2021, 12:14 pm

The NRA were just “Disappointed” on our behalf.

They never came out and expressed outright outrage…. Like they did on the proposed m855 ammo ban under Obama. Btw, that “call to arms” got the BATFE to back off, and the proposed bs was rescinded.

My point is, that HAD there been a massive outcry against the TRUMPSTOCK BAN, we could have gotten the BATFE to back outa that one, too. The ban isn’t so much about an overpriced piece of plastic, as it is about the precedent it sets in its inception and execution. THIS is exactly the “Slippery Slope” that Wayne has been preaching about, but when the time came to make a stand for millions of us donors, he cowered on his yacht.

The other point, is if we can’t get National Repricrocity, and suppressors removed from NFA, with a majority in both legislative houses and a supposed 2A friendly president, WHEN are they gonna do it?? (The Dems seem to be more likely to commit political suicide for their causes, like ‘94 assault weapons ban, ObamaCare, etc., than our side is to put up a stand. We lost some ground in 2018, anyway. What would it have hurt to push thru a bit of 2A friendly legislation, anyway??)

I think the 2A has become a “single issue” where one side has followers for, one side against, and the “for” politicians do not want to make real change, cause then they might loose base and/or campaign $$&!!

BTW, I gots lot more to do than look at internet blogs all day. Gotta keep the kids clothes and fed, along with feeding the rest of US/World; please excuse my late reply, what time frame is preferable to you for my rebuttals, I shall try to be more accommodating to your schedule!!!!

“The ban isn’t so much about an overpriced piece of plastic, as it is about the precedent it sets in its inception and execution.”

I totally understand that point of view. I am NOT sure what else the NRA could have done under the circumstances. They did NOT want the EO and they did NOT want to turn Trump into an enemy. I suppose the 3 or 4 million members had some varied opinions.

“BTW, I gots lot more to do than look at internet blogs all day. Gotta keep the kids clothes and fed, along with feeding the rest of US/World; please excuse my late reply, what time frame is preferable to you for my rebuttals, I shall try to be more accommodating to your schedule!!!!”

Like Nazi Germany so shall America become.
Take away there rights and freedoms .Phase 1
Install fear in the people.Phase 2
    Conquering .phase 3
    Total control.phase 4
    Population control.phase 5

    • Old OutdoorsGuy July 24, 2021, 11:40 am

Well, “Sarg”, if that is your prediction for the future of this great country, I sure hope you don’t wind up in MY “foxhole” when the time comes to “fish or cut bait”. You have already lost the hope for continued freedom if that is your mindset.

      How about this “prediction”??

      1. FIGHT for your rights and freedoms from day ONE!! Don’t sit on your flabby fart hole and figure that “someone else will take care of it”.

      2. “Install” fear in the people??? If you mean “instill” fear, then you have a CHOICE to either become fearful or FIGHT the fear and stand up for your rights as a citizen of this great country!!

      3. Once you gain control of that “fear” factor, then you will find out that it was merely a reaction to political threats which always have a finite end to them one way or another. If you want those freedoms and are willing to do whatever is needed to keep those freedoms, then you will be a very difficult man to conquer no matter how hard someone else tries to make you bow down. Why do you think we always have heroes emerge from any confrontation in which our young people are called to defend, whether it be foreign OR domestic??

      4. The only way ANYONE can take TOTAL control of ANY country is if the citizens give up their freedoms and bow down to the conquering forces wishing to take CONTROL of that group. History has witnessed such occurrences time after time again. But the times in which the citizenry prevailed were those times when they kept their focus on their freedoms and did what had to be done to retain that set of rights given to them by those who had gone before them and had done what needed to be done.

Do you honestly believe that our Independence and our Rights of governance were drawn up by a bunch of bored guys who one evening got together over a few cold beers and decided to combine their thoughts opinions and draw up a few documents of their combined feelings about how they would like to live and have their families and those who are yet to come would live in this country?? If so, then you need to keep your head down low because, when push finally comes to shove, I am quite confident that the real patriots of this great land we call “America, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”, will come pouring out of the mountains and prairies, and fields and cities to band together and fight for what we know in our hearts is the only true FREEDOM under which we deserve to live!

      And THAT is MY opinion!
