Say hello to the AFLoader, it loads pistol magazines. The AFLoader isn’t a tool to assist people loading magazines — it is an automated pistol magazine loader. Give it mags and ammo and it gives you loaded mags.
The AFLoader can load any style of pistol magazine, single- and double-stack and extended mags including long 33-rounders. It feeds from a hopper and can be used with hoppers that hold up to 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
Currently the AFLoader supports the three major pistol cartridges, 9mm Luger, .40 S&W and .45 ACP. It automatically detects the type of magazine and adjusts to it.
It’s meant to be used at home and at the range. The AFLoader can run off a wall outlet as well as on its own, powered by a lithium-ion battery.
The loader is programmable and features a liquid crystal display. The display shows how many rounds it is set to load and how many rounds are left in the hopper.
The AFLoader’s biggest appeal is to industrial and professional shooters, people who put a lot of lead downrange for a living. Loading magazines, even with loading tools, can be tedious and repetitive. And getting bored while loading is never a good thing.
The AFLoader will also appeal to anyone who has trouble loading magazines. You don’t have to have strength, dexterity or health issues to appreciate help loading some magazines, especially really tight double-stack magazines.
But mostly, the AFLoader is just cool. It’s a gadget made for a single purpose and that purpose is to free up time to spend behind triggers. It’s the sort of thing that makes all shooters smile.
There is a catch: the AFLoader doesn’t exactly exist. Not yet.
In order to finance the loader the AFLoader team is turning to crowdfunding. People can pre-order the loader now and that money will go toward additional equipment. The team expects to begin production in January 2018.
The team is looking to raise at least $45,000 with Indiegogo. They have a flexible goal which means they will go into production even if they don’t drum up the full amount.

The loader itself is the main goal of the AFLoader team with units priced at $189. But to get things going they’re also offering other “perks” for supporting their campaign, and the perks are just as cool as the loader is.
They’re also more affordable, starting at as little as $20. A pledge of $20 toward the project gets you a slick injection-molded urethane pistol brace with a simple elastic strap. It’s a clean-looking part that looks more like a carbine stock than most while still functioning as a forearm brace.
For $30 backers will receive a transparent polycarbonate holster in one of 30 different patterns. A $75 pledge gets you a universal tube mount for pistols. The mount lets you add an optic and AR-pattern brace to any handgun with an accessory rail. You can also use it to fix an AR stock to a pistol, although NFA rules will apply.
At $85 backers will receive their choice of pistol or rifle PDW-style telescoping buffer tubes. And for $300 you get everything. The brace, an unbreakable transparent holster, the universal pistol adapter, a telescoping buffer tube and of course, the AFLoader and a full set of hoppers.
Interested? Head over to their campaign page for more info. You have two months to think about it starting now
I’m interested. Since the Indiegogo page is not available how can we get in on owning one ?
Uh, their Indiegogo campaign has been shut down for violation of terms of service.
Please forget the last question…should have read the article…..thanks.
How much does this product cost???????
read the story to find out
God, we’re getting so stinking lazy and pansyfied.
you obviously never loaded a 15 round magazine… maybe you never even shot an automatic pistol.
NEAT!!! I was at the range the other day with my son (1/2 of my current mag reloading machine) thinking why doesn\’t someone invent such a thing! I showed up prepared with about 15 magazines preloaded for my Sigs – things were going swimmingly, then we ran out of loaded mags. 15 mins later, we were back in business. Then 5-10 mins of shooting, then 15 mins of loading. The good thing of my current system is my son has been forced to learn how to properly reload mags (he\’s 14). If this thing works I for one will buy one – it will allow me to burn through all that ammo that much faster – it is a drag to stop just when you\’re getting into your groove. Build one for 30 round AR15 and AK mags. Please.
I would like to see you reload the automatic magazine loader.
We are uploading several videos over the weekend to our various pages and the loading process is one of them. Included with the loader is one loading tray for each caliber. Slip the tray over the exposed rounds of a 50 round box, lift them out of the box and insert into the hopper. Takes about 10 seconds to go from a closed ammo box to a loader hopper.
I think he means an automatic loader to load the automatic loader. At least I hope he does.
. . . on ITS own, dammit! it’s = it is.
Now……. All we need to start seeing is practical automated reloading machines. It would be SOOOO sweet to set a machine to reload your used de-primed brass and have it dumped into a hopper for sorting and inspection. Just “Set it and forget it” reloader. Wait, I think that tag-line is taken… Anyone want to invest in this with me? 🙂
This isn’t the only thing we’re working on 😉
I’m wondering if ammo companies already have these… its doubtful they do it the way we do.
Every innovation in the gun industry is a good thing. The more and better quality is always welcome.
Great article! Thank you. However, there is an inaccuracy. The funds do not go toward tooling and manufacturing. We already have tooling and the ability to produce these. The campaign is only to fund our purchase of an additional injection machine.
