in Authors, Optics/Sights, Rapid Fire, S.H. Blannelberry, This Week

Burris Optics is giving away a free, that’s correct, a FREE Eliminator III scope.  How do you enter the contest?

Well, see details below:

READY TO WIN A FREE ELIMINATOR III SCOPE?

Did you know that the Eliminator III debuted at SHOT Show three years ago?
That’s 36 months of leading the industry with a precision, advanced-technology scope. That’s 156 weeks of hunters quickly being more precise.

To celebrate those facts, we made a 30 second video that shows exactly how amazing this scope is. You can watch it on our Facebook page.

If you watch the video, and then just comment or like the post, you will be entered in a contest to win a free Eliminator III riflescope – a $1700 value,

Just click this link, and remember – you must then either give the post a thumbs up, or a comment (or both!) to enter. Sharing is appreciated, but won’t enter you into the sweepstake.

Contest ends February 27th.

You can enter twice: once for a comment, and once for a thumbs up. Multiple comments will not contribute to your chances of winning (but we like the conversations!).

Official rules are here.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The video at the top of this article is not the video to like and comment on.  You have to go to Burris’s Facebook page and like and/or comment on that video.  The video at the tops of this article is just to orient those who are unfamiliar with the Eliminator III.

    I wanna win this.

  • Paul November 2, 2015, 10:28 pm

    No thanks, with FB entry!!!!!

  • Bernie Morris February 28, 2015, 5:01 pm

This would work great on my AR 10.

  • william d davis February 27, 2015, 4:12 am

I have been a compition pistol shooter for over 12 yrs,I.D.P.A. Also been trying my mile and half rifle shot, been using a well over 2,000 dollar scope on my m1a and not doing bad,Maybe this scope will do it.

  • woody vankirk February 25, 2015, 2:53 pm

Nice scope. I’ve read about this one and scopes like it, but they are a little beyond my $ range.
It sure would look better on my AR10 than my el cheapo. Video was really good – short and to the point.
However, since I’m not part of the Facebook mass, and have no intention of being part of it, I guess Ill have to keep
dreaming about the Eliminator III, instead of being entered to win one. When are these marketeers with these
companies going to wake up to the fact that some people are not facebookers?

  • John Wright February 25, 2015, 11:26 am

If I was a FB type of person, I would not need any burris products, just some extra makeup or fake coffee that costs a mint. Maybe you can pass this on to burris! I will not be buying any more of their products since they are part of the social media fascists.

  • kenn gormley February 25, 2015, 12:15 am

    free sight,yep.

  • Joyce McIntyre February 24, 2015, 10:24 pm

I feel that women should have a gun for pertection.

  • Michael February 23, 2015, 10:52 pm

No facebook for me either. I didn’t realize I was in such an antisocial crowd. There is no giveaway worth joining fb for. Burris has never impressed me that much anyway. They were always heavier than a similar Leupold. This one does look interesting though.

  • Dennis February 23, 2015, 9:44 pm

Burris, are you listening? This Facebook (anti-Christian and conservative) requirement is losing you customers! If you think the social media crowd is the one spending the money to buy your products maybe you ought to go out to a gun store where your products are sold to do a demographics. Mostly what I see are middle aged and older who have the disposable income to buy luxuries in a down economy. Strike another vote against social media.

  • Frank Langley February 23, 2015, 3:33 pm

I did not realize that I was signing up for facebook. I thought I was merely entering a contest. How do I now go about undoing the facebook BS?

  • David Brantley February 23, 2015, 3:29 pm

Ditto James Housely. I will not purchase any Burris products again.

  • James Housley February 23, 2015, 1:55 pm

BURRIS what? Gee, I don’t have Facebook. Then I must not be very important! Apparently “they” don’t need me as a customer.

  • James Housley February 23, 2015, 1:52 pm

Guess I am also out of luck. No Facebook account and will not get one. How’s that for limiting your marketing audience? BYE

  • BigR February 23, 2015, 1:12 pm

I’m on Facebook because of my kids and grandkids, but I resent the fact that to enter a contest I have to do it on social media. I’m going to pass on this one. I own one Burris scope, but I won’t buy another one.

  • AvarageJoe February 23, 2015, 12:24 pm

I’m also with the don’t facebook crowd, kinda makes me not want to read or receive emails from you guys…

  • hockeyboy88 February 23, 2015, 10:32 am

I agree on the thoughts of others here about joing Facebook. Not a chance in hell, I ever do that.

I will just buy one, if I need one.

    Thanks!

  • tim buckman February 23, 2015, 10:28 am

great looking scope hope to have one soon great features would go great on one of my long guns

  • Ken Ross February 23, 2015, 10:15 am

Most excellent! What will they think of next?

  • Abel February 23, 2015, 10:00 am

    Nice

  • Steve February 23, 2015, 8:48 am

Why would I want to lose the little privacy I have left to be on FaceBook? Typical
I will just have to keep using and enjoying my wonderful Vortex HD’s

  • Garnett Thurman February 23, 2015, 8:44 am

Looks to be a fantastic scope . Would be nice to win.

  • Mark February 23, 2015, 8:15 am

There’s a REASON why many of us do NOT have a freaking TELL ALL Facebook page, to let telegraph our trips, plans, movement, and if we’re having a Starbucks coffee and how many sugars and Cinnamon we like – yet we can’t enter without revealing this on a GUN ACCESSORY SITE ? This is telling as to how out of touch Burris is with WHO their customer base is.

  • G February 23, 2015, 7:53 am

WOW pretty nice if it works??? Love to try one but Id be hard pressed to give up any of my Leopold scopes!
Even harder pressed to go on FB! LOL
    Guess they will never know!

  • RetNavet February 23, 2015, 6:58 am

Too bad you must be a member of Assbook to qualify…guess I’ll just have to stick with my crummy old Nightforce

  • John Kraiza February 23, 2015, 6:19 am

Very nice. It put my old ELIMINATOR to sham. I need a the new one.

  • frank fusco February 23, 2015, 3:21 am

Not fair that you have to be joined to face book to enter this contest .o well Nikon still takes the lead.

  • Dale Robertson February 22, 2015, 1:49 am

This will make every shot count I love it

  • Richard Chadwick February 21, 2015, 5:48 pm

    cool

  • Mark N. February 21, 2015, 2:16 am

How typical. Unless you are a member of facebook, you can’t enter the contest, something I am seeing more of. I effuse to be a member of facebook, so I am out of the running.

    • Joe R February 23, 2015, 6:43 am

Yup. Unless you are willing to give up all modicum of privacy, you are not eligible.

    • Nate February 23, 2015, 9:35 am

Use the wife’s account. Or your child. I also refuse to get on the wagon called Facebook, but her’s worked just fine

      • Steve February 23, 2015, 3:16 pm

She isn’t a member for the same reasons

        • Nick February 24, 2015, 12:17 am

I refuse to get assimilated by Facebook. I get that social media is important, but come on. You just unjustly disqualified a number of folks. I cant use my wife’s because she is astutely anti-gun.

    • SRINIVASA PRASAD November 2, 2015, 9:27 pm
