After two years in development, High Tower Armory is excited to say that their MBS 95 bullpup conversion kit for Hi-Point carbines is now shipping. They offer bullpup conversion kits for all five base model Hi-Point carbines in .380 ACP through 10mm Auto.
Due to high demand, the High Tower is shipping their MBS 95 — Modular Bullpup System — a little differently. They are shipping in batches to customers signed up for the company newsletter.
“So far things have been very positive and we are extremely thankful for everyone who has purchased and continues to wait patiently for their chance to order by signing up for our newsletter,” said High Tower’s Andy Wentzel. “We’re hoping to get through everyone within the next few months.”
To get in line for your kit, head over to the High Tower website and sign up with your email address at the bottom of the page. When you receive your notification, you can select your kit color and cartridge.
People who sign up for the newsletter are getting some pre-order treatment with a nice little discount. The MSRP for the conversion kits will be $274 but newsletter orders are just $249.
Developing these kits wasn’t easy. “There were many challenges while working on this project, but that’s true no matter the type of project when dealing with something of this scope,” said Wentzel. “It’s an enormous undertaking to make something that needs to retroactively fit hundreds of thousands of guns from the past 23 years, in five different calibers and in several different variations.”
“There are always the little surprises that crop up whenever you work with a manufactured item,” he added. “Nothing ever runs exactly like it shows in the CAD file, and it can take several attempts to work around some of those manufacturing limitations. That’s a big reason for why it took us so long to release.”
High Tower went with a modular design that allows for fast field-stripping is seconds. The stock is fully-ambidextrous with a reversible forward charging handle, magazine release and shell deflector for left-hand use. The charging handle is non-reciprocating and can be used as a manual bolt lock. The stock is M-Lok compatible with eight slots on the forend for accessories and sling mounts. The kit also sports 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock Picatinny rails.
The glass-filled nylon stock houses CNC-machined aluminum rails and bedding blocks. It has an internal recoil reduction system and an adjustable trigger linkage. The aluminum parts are hard-anodized and the steel components have a Melonite finish for the best wear and corrosion resistance.
The kits use standard and aftermarket Hi-Point magazines. The kits add a couple of ounces to the carbines but that comes with the added functionality.

“The effects of any additional weight added are more than negated while shooting by the balance of the bullpup design,” said Wentzel. “It can be fired one handed both comfortably and accurately because of the even balance and weight distribution.”
The development process took a while to complete but High Tower is very happy with the bullpup kit. “When we announced this product … we couldn’t have imagined the outpouring of support, interest and demand,” he said.
“It has been a whirlwind and we are so appreciative and blessed by what we’ve seen,” said Wentzel. “We cannot say thank you enough to all who have waited and continued to wait.”

I’ve had an original High-Point 995 since ’98 with no problems. Added the High Tower Armory MBS95 stock 6 mos ago and Love It! 1000+ rounds w/o a hitch.
Number One, the Hi Point PCC is a well designed, well manufactured, well priced weapon. I have a 9mm and a 10mm and they both have put many hundreds of rounds downrange, WITHOUT a single malfunction. This is not an Ed Brown, but it is made of materials strong enough to do the job and last a lifetime.
Number Two, High Tower Armory has produced a device that is singularly excellent. They took a while, but they certainly got it right. Well designed, solid, easy to install, AND it solved the one major drawback of the Hi Point weapon. As the carbine comes out of the box it is a bit of a bear to take down for cleaning. Once the Bull pup stock is installed, the take down of the weapon is simple, easy, fast, and requires NO tools. This is a vast improvement over the stock carbine.
Number Three, High Tower Armory give some of the best Customer service I have personally experienced. I ordered the wrong stock the first time (my fault) and emailed them asking if I could exchange. I offered to pay freight both ways for the return of my mistake and the subsequent replacement. They ignored my request and sent me a prepaid label. Not only generous, but very timely. I just ordered the Bull Pup for my 10mm.
Make no mistake, this package is AWESOME!
If you were going to all the trouble to completely redesign the stock you should have designed it to feed from hi cap glock mags as opposed to the low cap that hi point makes. For most folks this is nothing but a range toy anyway and at the range low cap blows.
Going to a different magazine would require changes to the basic Hi Point hardware which would be cost prohibitive. This is a “drop in” design and meet that criteria extremely well.
Red Ball Sports makes reliable hu cap mags for the 9mm and .45.
Lady’s and gentlemen and that’s how you polish a turd. Why would anyone in their right mind spend more money to I guess upgrade such a piece of shit gun. They shoot but they are not high enough quality for me to risk my life or my family. Gimmick for a cheap gun. My advice if you want a bullpup or a subgun. Save up and buy something that’s not made of pot metal. Until then get a pistol, Ar and a shoty. What piece of junk !
I’ve had my 995 since the second year they came out ( 1996 ). Sent it back to them in 2009 to solve a failure to eject problem and it came back like brand new. They only charged me around $70 for the new TS stock installed. Yes this is a low end gun but it is far from the piece of junk you describe. The only reason these are low end is because of finish. You’re attitude tells me you’ve probably never owned a Hi-point and are probably just some troll who’s upset because he spent $300 more for a bullpup than he needed to.
Send me a 45 bullpup when u get to me please
No place on the HTA website does it mention that they are setup for the 10mm. They only list .380, 9mm & .45
To handle the volume or orders that they have to deal with, they are presently servicing the customers that they can help in an orderly manor. I would rather have slower, good service than fast sloppy service.
Please send me the information on purchasing a bullpup. Thanks
It took me about a hour to put it together because I wanted to go slow and verify the build. It feels awesome in the hands, well balanced and solid. I put a open red Dot on it and will be taking it to the range next week. (.40 Cal version)
Please send me information on purchasing the bullpup conversion for my high point model 995.
Thanks
Would have been nice to have seen it in action….
Interesting stuff would like to hear more.
