The SIG Sauer 716i TREAD is a direct-impingement, semi-automatic 7.62x51mm NATO rifle built on the SIG716 platform. It features a 16.00 in (406 mm) barrel, a 6-position telescoping stock and ships with a 20-round composite magazine.
The rifle is equipped with an aluminum free-floating handguard with M-LOK mounting points and a MIL-STD 1913 rail along the top. The muzzle accepts a 5/8x24 TPI flash suppressor. Weight (without magazine) is 8.16 lb (3.7 kg) and overall length is 37.52 in (stock extended).
