For sale is my Lee Enfield No1 Mk5 / NoI MkV trials rifle. This is an original rifle and not a rebuild project/copy. If you have any questions, or wish to see more pictures - please feel free to ask me. All matching serial numbers. Manufactured in the 1st batch of 1922. If my information serves me correct: there were three batches of these rifles, with the 1st batch being the smallest group manufactured. (20,000 or so were produced - most have been butchered or turned into hunting rifles. All the furniture on this one is original) My ownership of the rifle has been pretty much making it a safe queen. When I purchased the gun the bore and barrel had cosmoline grease. The grease has been cleaned but the rifle remains unfired under my ownership. Bore is bright, rifling deep (as deep as lee enfields get!) Sling appears to be original but not matching to the rifle (and obviously a later date) The rifle had its cleaning kit still in the stock, but a near century of age has caused the plastic to pretty much crumble. I have the oiler placed in a plastic bag, cleaning-pull through cord is still in the stock. Brass stock disk is blank on the rifle. This rifle should go to an Enfield Collector! (Shipping will probably be 50-70 depending on how far it has to go)
