Very nice sample of the Sako Model A5 Hunter for sale in 30.06 with box. Almost brand new condition and mostly used for occasional range practice. I purchased this rifle ten years ago from a private seller to find the stock shortened from original length of pull. I remedied the situation by having a spacer and limb saver pad installed. Present length of pull is 14". I had a Gentry muzzle brake installed while leaving the original barrel length as is while adding the brake. Barrel with brake is 24.5" from chamber. The bore is super clean and shiny basically looking unfired. The bedding is natural and the barrel has been free floated. The action has that deep sound of quality common in the vintage Sako rifles. Just a couple of minor nicks in wood from handling and gun safe with perfect bluing to metal. The stock screws show little wear. The .06 is a favorite of mine and I know the factory and hand loads loads well. This gun is a tack driver as most Sakos go and with 150 gr bullets grouping at 1" or tighter at 100 yds. The 165 and 180 will generally avg. 1 to 1 1/2 at that range. Sub minute at 200 is common.
I believe the gun is worth $1200 and anyone who purchases will be happy with the rifle. The reason I'm selling it is that have several Sako duplicates in 30.06 and would like to sell this one to someone who appreciates a quality rifle. 3 day no fire exam money back guarantee.
