I'll tell you what I know about it. It has a 14" length of pull. A Timney trigger has been installed and it has about a 2.5 to 3 lb pull and very crisp. The two fixed sights on the barrel are custom and both have a fine checkering pattern on them. In front of the rear sight the barrel is marked "J.F. KREUZ AUSTIN TEX. 760". Barrel also marked 7m/m. The serial numbers match on the action and underneath the bolt, 8598 and has a German eagle above the same number on the left side of the large ring). There are three markings on the right side of the large ring but are hard for me to read. All 3 markings appear to have the german eagle above them.
The scope is a Carl Zeiss Jena. Also marked Zielklien Nr80340*. I think that these scopes were some of the first imported to the US from Germany after WW1... In the 1920's I think. Up until that time American riflemen still had more faith in a good set of iron sights, but scopes extended the range of their rifles and caught on quickly in just a few years.
The scope has the three post aperture. The middle post comes to a point on top. This is NOT a 1" Scope. Mounted with Redfield bridge mount and rings. I'll take more pics if you need them.
Im not sure what kind of wood the stock is made from.
It seems lightweight. Has sling mounts. Forearm, grip and butt caps are black w/white spacers. All are in good shape.
I've hunted with it. It has a bit of recoil if you're like me and built for a 13" stock length.
This is not at all a new rifle. The bolt release, scope and mounts could use refinishing. At one time it had an aperture sight mounted on the left side of the stock. There are screw mounts in the left side of the action, but it is not very visable. The stock was shaved some though for the fit.
