For sale here is a New Smith & Wesson M&P 45 in .45 ACP! This model has a 4 inch barrel. This pistol is a very popular striker fired gun. The M&P (Military & Police) is a well built firearm, great for target shooting, home defense, or concealed carry. A lot of insight from Law Enforcement went into the M&P line of pistols. For instance the controls are ambidextrous, so a lefty or righty can shoot the gun well. There is a manual thumb safety that is quick and easy to operate. It is on the right and left side for ambidextrous use. Another ambidextrous feature is the slide release button. The button is located on both sides to accommodate all shooters. The magazine release button can be switched from the left side for a right handed shooter, to the right side for a left handed shooter. The M&P 45 is also designed to fit everybody. There are 3 backstraps included, a Small, Medium, and Large. The medium is installed from the factory and fits most hands but if you need to switch it for a different size, it is easy and shown in the owners manual. Magazine capacity is 10 rounds for the M&P 45 in 45 ACP and the gun comes with 2 magazines.
A couple features that have Law Enforcement in mind are the striker fire design and the sights. As you probably know, Glock is very popular with law enforcement because of the striker fire design. The striker fire design eliminates having an external hammer. This is nice because the gun will not snag on clothing when it is being drawn. Everything is internal. Besides having a manual thumb safety, the M&P 45 also has a trigger safety built in to prevent the gun from going off accidentally. As far as the sights, they are a SS adjustable sights. There is also a step in the rear sight so that if you had to fire the gun with 1 handed operation, you could do it.
