On March 9th 2004 Sturm, Ruger & Company announced the introduction of the first ever USA Shooting Ruger Mark II pistol. This USA Shooting Team commemorative featured a Hi-Viz® front sight and checkered thumb-rest laminated hardwood grips. This example, serial number USA-01025 is in 99% condition, it has a perfect bore, unblemished grips and the bolt is beautifully embellished in gold and features the USA Shooting "Victory In Athens" mark exclusive to the 2004 Olympic Games. During these games, two gold medals and one silver were won by team USA. This Ruger MKII is supplied with its distinctive hardcase decorated with a commemorative seal, a Picatinny rail, a Weaver-Style scope base, two 10-round magazines, replacement fiber sights, the original Ruger manual, and authenticating paperwork.
