Founded in 1921, SAKO is a world renown rifle manufacturer located in Finland. This rifle sn365990 was manufactured in 1986 and is also known as the Model 579. It has Sako’s slick short action bolt, a hinged floorplate and is chambered in the popular .243 Winchester cartridge. Its 24” heavy barrel is finally tapered and shows 99% factory bluing with a Perfect bore. This rifle appears to be unfired and is in ‘as new’ condition! The stock exhibits dark mineral streaks overlayed with prominent fiddleback, hand cut checkering and is finished with a hard rubber Sako buttplate with white spacer. The gun has sling mounts fitted and is sold with a Redfield 5 Star 4-12x scope mounted on high quality Burris scope mounts. With its trigger breaking crisply at 2.75lbs this gun is ready to live up to its name as an effective Varmint rifle. Overall a classically handsome rifle/ scope combo! Thank you for looking.
