Little needs to be said about the Browning Citori that is not evident in the gun itself. Built in Japan using state of the art machinery and all hand finished, including hand checkering with double borders, and engraving with gold wire accents. Each Citori is precisely engineered and of the utmost quality and features chromed bores and chambers. The Japanese guns are known for having higher grade wood than their European counterparts and this example epitomizes the trend, its furniture shows moderate figure with some fiddleback which is especially evident across the wrist and comb, the forend features a Schnabel tip. This 2001 Citori Ultra XS, serial number 23926MZ131 has Invector screw-in chokes in SK/IC/M/M/F constrictions, mirror bores, a vent rib, and a golden trigger adjustable for pull with two extra trigger shoes. The ejectors are well timed while the action and hinge are both tight as new with the lever way right of center! The barrel bluing is 100% factory while the receiver is finished in Browning’s Satin Coin finish, the wood shows as new. Chambered in the desirable .410 bore this gun has been lightly used and very well-treated. Overall, a beautiful example of the world renown Browning Ultra XS!
