The Savage Axis Compact is a compact bolt-action hunting rifle built around a 20 in. carbon-steel sporter barrel and a detachable 4-round box magazine. It uses a synthetic matte-black stock sized with a shorter 12.5 in. length of pull for smaller shooters.
Designed as a youth/compact variant of the Axis family, the Axis Compact is available in calibers including 7mm-08 Remington and ships with a matte-black synthetic stock and an Accu-type user-adjustable trigger on Axis-line models.
