The Savage 220 Thumbhole is a bolt-action slug gun built on a rifle-style platform. It features Savage's user-adjustable AccuTrigger, an oversized bolt handle and a button-rifled 22 in (55.9 cm) matte blued carbon steel barrel. The model comes with a gray wood-laminate thumbhole stock and a one-piece rail on the receiver for mounting optics. A detachable box magazine accepts two 20-gauge slugs, providing a compact, rifle-like slug gun package suitable for scoped use.
