The Mossberg 990 AfterShock is an ultra-compact, semi-automatic 12-gauge tactical shotgun built around a gas-operated system contained within the forend. The 14.75-inch cylinder-bore barrel version (#83001) ships with an AfterShock pistol-style grip with rubberized palm pad, a strapped forend, an enlarged beveled loading port and an anodized bright orange follower for ease of loading. It features an LPA front fiber-optic sight and a cylinder bore for use with standard 2.75" shells (5+1 capacity).
Durability and handling enhancements include nickel-boron coated internal parts, a knurled charging handle, an oversized top-mounted safety with a red indicator, and a magazine tube extension fixture with M-LOK compatible slots for accessory mounting. The model is finished in matte blue with black synthetic furniture and is offered as a compact defensive/tactical platform.
