The Mossberg 590S Optic-Ready is a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun built on the 590S platform and configured with an 18.5 in cylinder-bore barrel and black synthetic stock. This Optic-Ready version features a corn-cob style forend, front bead sight, a clean-out magazine tube with cap and a matte blue metal finish.
The 590S design includes non-binding twin action bars, dual extractors and a redesigned elevator with an energy-absorbing bumper that allows the shotgun to cycle 1.75", 2.75" and 3" shotshells interchangeably. The receiver is milled to accept low-profile (Shield RMSc footprint) and ships with a cover plate when a sight is not installed. An ambidextrous top-mounted safety is standard.
