The Mossberg 590 Shockwave SPX is a compact 12 gauge pump-action firearm built on Mossberg's 590 platform. This SPX variant ships with a heavy-walled 14.375 in stand-off (breacher) barrel with an integrated heat shield, a receiver-mounted Picatinny rail and an aluminum side-saddle that accepts five polymer shell holders. The receiver is drilled-and-tapped for additional sight options.
Chambered for 2.75" and 3" shells, the SPX is configured with a 5+1 magazine capacity, a single bead sight and a cylinder bore. Controls and ergonomics include Mossberg's top-mounted ambidextrous safety, a Shockwave Raptor bird's-head pistol grip and a strapped corncob forend. The model measures 26.37 in overall length and is listed at approximately 6.3 lbs.
