The Mossberg 590S Shockwave is a compact, short-LOP pump shotgun built from the 590S family. It features an 18.5-inch AccuChoke-compatible matte blue barrel and a strapped corncob-style forend with a Shockwave bird’s-head style grip for close-quarters handling.
The 590S platform is designed to cycle 1.75", 2.75" and 3" shells interchangeably without an adaptor thanks to a redesigned elevator, bolt slide and energy-absorbing bumper. Standard features include dual extractors, twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lockup, a top-mounted ambidextrous safety and a magazine clean-out tube with cap. Sights are a front bead and capacity is listed as 5+1; 6+1; 9+1 depending on shell length.
