The Mossberg 500 JIC Mariner is a portable 12 gauge pump-action shotgun finished in corrosion-resistant Marinecote for maritime and wet-environment use. The model ships in a water-resistant storage tube with carrying strap and includes preparedness tools (multi-tool & knife).
Built on the 500 platform, the JIC Mariner features an 18.5in cylinder-bore barrel, top-mounted ambidextrous safety, twin action bars and dual extractors. It is chambered for 3" shells and has a listed 2.75" magazine capacity of 5+1 (manufacturer notes capacity reduces by one with 3" shells).
The shotgun is configured with a black pistol grip, a bright international orange storage tube finish, an overall approximate weight of 5.5 lbs, and is offered as part of Mossberg's JIC ("Just In Case") series targeted to boaters, campers and preparedness users.
