The Ruger No. 1 Light Sporter is a falling-block single-shot rifle in Ruger’s No. 1 family. This Light Sporter variant is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and configured with a 24 inch blued barrel and American walnut stock.
Factory features for the Light Sporter include an adjustable folding rear sight and a dovetail-type gold bead front sight, a sliding tang safety, and a quarter-rib scope base machined to accept Ruger patented scope rings. As a single-shot falling-block design the rifle has a one-round capacity and is intended for hunting and precision single-shot shooting, and it also appeals to collectors of classic sporting rifles.
